It works great! ! ! So I decided to pick up another for use at work. For smaller ckt boards, it works as it is supposed to. HOWEVER, larger board (greater than 6"), it has a tendency to wobble or even fall over while trying to solder a component into place. A colleague made a weight to place over the the center bar to give it a bit more stability. IF you build small circuit boards, this is a great addition to your work bench. Review: Useful, but could be better - It does the job, but it is very fiddly to get a good enough grip of the PCB for it not to come flying out while you’re working. You have to apply just enough tension in the springs, but it’s hard to do that accurately with just a thumb screw locking each base to the spine. I’d love to see a revamped version of this with a lead screw the entire length of the base, and a thumb screw on the end directly controlling tension. Could have quick release clasps to allow for quick adjustment to different PCB sizes. Alas that’s NOT how the product currently works 😔.
