I use a laptop for work, but as it is connected to a dock and from their to two ultra-wide monitors, I never have it open and it just sat on the desk gathering literal dust. I bought this stand to get it off the desk, and possibly tuck it away behind the monitors.The latter plan didn't come to fruition as the monitors are also on arms which are sufficiently bulky enough that I couldn't get this stand behind it. But by removing one of the upper arm segments it is tucked away enough to suit me.It was easy to assembly and has been quite solid in the two weeks I've been using it. However, the lip on the side of the stand isn't terribly large and because I have it at 180 degrees, I have used a webbing strap to make sure the laptop doesn't fall off should I walk into the desk or some other mishap.And the fact is has (basic, but hey, it works) cable management built in means the USB C cable that links the laptop to the dock is nicely tucked away too.Won't do anything about it collecting dust, but at least it's not taking up desk space now.

Functionally, the arm works well with decent movement. It is not very long though, so if you have a deep desk, be mindful as your laptop will not be close

This is a nice piece of kit. It took a bit of effort to assemble but following the instructions got me there safely. Everything is well labelled and it was an enjoyable way to spend 20 to 30 minutes if you ever played with Meccanno. It is very well jointed and you have a good range of movement on the arm. It has handy clips for you to secure your wires so they move with the arm and don't strain the connections. The laptop feels nice and secure. The powder finish is pretty much non slip. Nice quality item exactly as advertised.
