Having just upgraded my pc I've been dismayed to see the limited number of SATA ports that come on the latest AM5 motherboards. As such I took a chance on one of these to provide an additional 10 SATA ports. In all honesty I wasn't expecting this to work on Windows 11 and was fully prepared to have to return it, but nope...plugged it in, started up and it just works.UPDATE : Did find one niggle, after sleeping the drives attached to this device disappeared. That said a couple of days after purchasing the seller did send me a message that points me to the drivers for this card. Installing these (despite them being Win 10 drivers) seems to have fixed this, so rating still stands.

Windows 11 found and installed drivers automatically. Excellent upgrade from my old Jmicron 36x pcie x1 sata card which had unsupported driver issues with windows 11.

20 Port Version bought.Included Drivers DO NOT Install on any windows new that Windows 8, leaving only 4 ports that are useable. Impossible to find Drivers online, never been updated.Manufacturer seems to have no online presence to get any kind of support.Misleading/Lying description (States compatability with Windows 7/8/10. Just isn't. Massively annoyed.

This card very nearly got returned. The main reason is that it does not support HDDs with high capacity. Namely the 4TB Seagates I purchased - The rearranging that followed caused me a complete headacheI ended up using the card to support a 500Gb HDD, which worked without issue.I wish they'd put the card limitations in the description but it doesn't mention this anywhere.Twice now, the card has stopped working and my HDD disappeared completely from windows. This hasn't happened for a couple of days but does seem unreliableI obviously vantage recommend ... buy a better brand

Purchased February 2024This is exactly what I needed for updating my media streaming server.I needed to replace 4 4TB drives in an external eSATA housing with higher capacity drives, but the housing didn't support the larger drives. The onboard SATA performance was terrible so needed a solution fast.Fitting was snug between 2 video cards but there's no risk of shorting and it doesn't affect airflow to the video card above.OS hung at first so I did a full power down/up and OS came up - No Errors. I already had the latest Marvell drivers to support the previous controller for external housing.Powered down, plugged in the drives, power up - YATTA!

I recently purchased a newer motherboard for my main home PC ( X670E PG lighting ) but wanted some more SATA ports than came on it, only 4. Also I wanted to to speed up my various disk access speeds for video editing. My C: drive is a NMVe PCIe 4 (will move to PCIe 5 in a couple of yrs when costs drop). Used for Video Editing; 5 cameras and I do up to 2 hour videos - after all editing is done. I now have a SW RAID 0 HDD for raw video and a seperate SW RAID 0 SSD for a working output drive. This Card worked perfect, P&P no drivers needed, only needs a PCIe 3.0 X1 slot for max speed of 1GB/s (mine is in a PCIe 4.0 x1 - as PCIe is backward compatible). The RAID 0 nearly doubles the SATA III disk access, needed now that I have a Ryzen 5 CPU with 32GB 6200 DDR5 Ram. Video editing is much quicker than my old MB with 8300FX 8 core & 16 GB DDR3. The card does not provide any RAID features, it only adds up to 8 ports SATA III, but Windows 11 fully supports its own SW RAID and is super simple to implement in " Disk Management" - and I also put my Swap file on my RAID drives. You can get your hands on USED 1 or 2 TB 7200 HDDs now for super cheap and also USED SSD's. Also you can SW RAID up to 8 SSDs/HDDs per assigned disk through this Card, modern chip ASM1166 and the card is available in a PCIe 3.0 x 2 for double buss access Bandwidth.

Article génial, branché et fonctionne directement !Avec un config standard (cm b540) et openmediavault 7 en OS.Aucun drivers à installé et accès au disque sans bridage et de manière stable.Les câbles fournit avec sont de bonnes qualité et l'adaptateur sata est une très bonne idée du vendeur.Attention : si 2 câbles sont branchés l'un au dessus de l'autre, vous ne pourrez pas débrancher le câble du dessus car les câble sont munis d'une sécurité sur laquelle il faut appuyer pour débrancher le câble et celle-ci est donc inaccessible si 2 câble sont branché dans cette configuration. Evidemment ce n'est pas un problème, si on souhaite débrancher un disque, la machine est éteinte et donc on peut débrancher un autre câble pour quelques secondes.Je recommande très fortement ! Utilisation Windows comme Linux (Debian 12) (Mac pas testé)
