Favorite jerky. Wonderful texture that rips apart with citrus and slight spice. Not a spicy jerky but flavorful. Slightly addicting literally ate an entire bag at once and passed out. Too good be sure to portion it out or the large bag will be gone quickly.

I love love love this jerky. I love the meat extra dry a little soft but a little tough and its honestly a mix of both. I can't remember how I came across this brand but the taste is fantastic and we love it in my household. My extended family tried it as well and they loved it. Fun snack. Must have jerky for traveling or just to keep handy.

Carne Seca is my fourth bag of People's Choice Jerky. It is not the cheapest jerky, because it is quality jerky with ingredients that I trust. This is why I'll keep buying it. I've had the spicy traditional (or old fashioned), and then teriyaki and spicy big slabs. Carne Seca is my favorite, but each type is so different that I'll probably get something else next time to continue exploring their line-up. My experiences: Traditional (old fashioned): this is old school, meat and salt baby. It's delicious, but tough and will give your mouth a work out. I loved it. Spicy big slab: Way too much red and black pepper, it's too much. But, If you scrape some of the pepper off it's delicious. I actually liked it because the spice limited how fast I ate the stuff. But People's Choice, if you're reading...please dial it back like 30%. Teriyaki Big slab: This was like candy. So sweet and yummy, its not the easiest stuff to chew but my wife still housed it. This is her favorite hands down. Carne Seca: The flavor is "mexicany", and it is very good. It almost reminds me of the old jerky that came in a snuff can. The texture is also completely different from any of the others that I've tried. Very easy to chew...My two year old can actually chomp on this. I have become a loyal customer and I highly recommend this jerky.

I’ve been buying this jerky for over a year. It’s my favorite! Sadly they have cheapened their process. It’s soft and chewy, it has no flavor. It’s soft Like Jack links or a slim Jim. I tried returning it and you can’t. Sucks, this was such a great brand and now it’s like all the mass produced jerky.

As someone who has tried the People's Choice one of everything box I feel as I have a general knowledge of their products. This bag of jerky had the same consistency and flavor as it did about a year ago. To me consistency is important, when I re order something I expect the product to either stay the same or improve and I was not disappointed. In some of these reviews you see people complaining about how dry or tough this jerky is but, let me tell you that is exactly how this jerky is suppose to be. Classic real jerky is very dry and tough, that is one if the best parts about it is the medley of flavors coming together in your mouth as your saliva is rehydrating the piece into a delectable morsel in your mouth. If you want that sugary soft jerky go with Jack links or one of the other processed kinds, this stuff is fine cuts of beef cured to perfection. I personally believe it is up there with one of the best jerky products I have tried. I look for that dry, tough piece of beef that I can savor in my mouth, think about it the more dry it is the more beef you are actually getting. I lb of jerky this dry must have been nearly 3 lbs before their drying process. All in all I wouldn't say it is the best, most flavorful jerky I have had in my life but it is consistent, the flavor is very decent, really not that spicy at all but does have a little kick and is worth purchasing again so I still give it 4 out of 5 stars and as a bit of a jerky snob, I think People's Choice is doing pretty darn good. If I could I would give them like 4.3 stars but unfortunately it's either 4 or 5, but it is definitely worth trying.

This, as the headline indicates, is the best beef jerky I've ever had. The meat is tough, but not so tough that it's inedible. I've seen reviews that say it's "powdery." I'm not really sure what that means. It does seem to crumble a bit as you chew it, but that's only because it's very dry. These are qualities that I want in beef jerky. I want it to be tough and dry so that I can chew on it and take my time, as opposed to just devouring it like I would any other food. The flavor is a bit spicy (but not burn-your-mouth spicy), with a sort of lime undertone. It's honestly perfect. I've had jerky that was near flavorless before, and I've had gas station brands that taste like they're more filler than actual meat. This is neither. It's very flavorful meat, with no filler ingredients at all. On top of everything else, the company is super friendly and helpful. I bought a different flavor in addition to this one (the classic flavor, in their big slab form), and wasn't really a fan. People's Choice discussed this with me via email, and we came to a resolution that we were both happy with. I felt like they had my best interests at heart throughout the entire process. I will absolutely be buying from them again. And soon.

This is one of my favorite beef jerkies! However, as I was wolfing down my morning commute jerky, I looked down to see that the chunk I was digging on had mold on it :( I tried to figure out how to contact the company to see if I could get a refund or a replacement, but I didn't see a way, unfortunately. Still tasty, but not thrilled about the extra "flavorings". I hope People's Choice Beef Jerky reaches out to make it right, because I would still support them in that case!

I was drawn to People's Choice jerky by their philosophy and tradition: jerky should be made with the utmost quality ingredients and processes. I appreciate that I'm enjoying an all natural product with real and simple ingredients that aren't tainted by additives. I thought carefully about the flavor I wanted to try first because let's face it, People's Choice Jerky is a bit expensive and it's a treat I'm going to enjoy every now and then. I decided on Carne Seca - Limón Con Chile and I was blown away by two things: 1. Flavor People's Choice Carne Seca - Limón Con Chile bursts with flavor and it hits you in a couple waves, beginning when you first sample it in your mouth. You immediately get the notes of cracked red pepper blends and a subtle limón flavor, but you won't really appreciate the flavor profile until you bite into the jerky and tear away at the satisfying texture. You start chewing it and you realize the hype was real when the pleasing snap of the jerky unleashes the second wave of flavor. This is where the limón flavor shines through! 2. Texture After trying the typical chewy and greasy jerky you can find at the checkout stands in grocery stores, I was pleasantly surprised by the dry texture of People's Choice jerky. Mind you, "dry" food can have negative connotations such as bland and unfulfilling food. However, People's Choice jerky is anything but! Their jerky has a pleasant dry texture that perfectly absorbs the marinated spices and flavors, which is where that satisfying wave of Overall, I'm very impressed by People's Choice and not only by their awesome jerky, but by their willingness to appease their customers. A common complaint I read about was the lack of a resealable bag and People's Choice addressed that by changing their packaging. I noticed a stay fresh pack in my bag of jerky that's supposed to absorb oxygen, which is no doubt to address some customers that unfortunately received moldy jerky. I strongly recommend People's Choice!
