After four months of use and thousands of casts, I can confidently say this is one of the best bang-for-your-buck spinning reels I’ve used. I’ve used it for everything from panfish to a carp weighing more than 40 pounds. The reel has remained smooth and reliable throughout, and the drag handled the long, powerful runs from that carp extremely well. That fight gave the reel a much tougher test than I ever expected when I bought it, and it came through without an issue. The retrieve still feels smooth, the drag is strong and consistent, and the overall build quality has held up extremely well. I’ve used plenty of fishing gear over the years, and this performs like a reel that should cost considerably more. For the money, I genuinely don’t know what more I could ask for. If you want a quality spinning reel without paying a premium for a major brand name, this is an easy recommendation. I would buy another one without hesitation.

I got the 2000 size. I took it out fishing today and have no complaints. It's not a high end reel and I now wish I had gotten the 1000 size, but that isn't the fault of the reel. It seems to cast well, the drag set like I wanted it to and it seems smooth enough for my uses. I doubt spending for a high end reel would increase my fishing success. I could have done without the gaudy colors though. I'm not a flashy kinda guy. Edit: I subsequently bought the 1000 size and am well satisfied with it. It doesn't have an anti-reverse switch, but I can get past that. It is as smooth as the 2000 above. It's a good match for the light 7' rod I'm using it on.
