1.4mm White Window Blind Cord Kit with 30 Feet of Cord

I was able to complete the repair using the video linked to in the instructions. As with most of these types of repairs, it took a little more patience that one would think from the video, but in the end it worked well. I would purchase this kit again.

Just what I needed.

When my blind decided to quit, I thought I'd attempt to fix it myself. No, no, no! Way too complicated and required more effort and time than I was willing to put into it. This cord was the 'fix' which I didn't use.

The cord worked fine and I got the blind restrung but only because I found other videos online and was able to look at another blind to help figure it out. When I first went to the website they sent there were numerous videos and I wasn’t sure which one I needed so waited a few days when would have more time to work on it. When I tried the website again I could not get into it. I kept getting error messages. Anyway by searching other sites I was finally able to get the blind fixed so I did use the cord and there was lots left over. There was some kind of tool included but without the video I had no idea how it was supposed to be used.

This is sort of an unfair review as the cord was of good quality and seemed very strong. My problem was ordering cord that was too thin. The accordion blinds that I have use a cord about 50% larger than this. My assumption that all blind cords are similar was false. I reordered a 2.0mm cord in stead of this 1.4mm and it matched what I had. It may have worked, but I didn't want to take the time, then have it not work or wear out faster due to it's smaller size. This is a fine product if you need 1.4 mm cord.

This kit was very helpful, and arrived promptly. The video was helpful, but other online videos were also helpful. I ordered the incorrect size of cord, however, so will have to reorder. At least I was able to allow the mini-blind to drop, however, which helped. (Just can’t raise it and lock it, due to the cord size being too small.)

What I appreciated even more than the mini-blind repair kit was the info in the kit that lead me to a video on how to do the repair--it was a snap!

The instructions to measure width of cord with a coin edge were extremely helpful. Measuring with a ruler alone I was about to order the wrong thickness. I really appreciate the frustration I was saved by their clear descriptions. Product itself did the job just fine. I'm a happy camper.
