this solved the problem and arrived several days early. I had an estimate from local AC company for the repair: about $300 but they basically recommended a new system since mine is old. I did some research online and decided to change this out myself before spending money on a service call, so unit is up and running again for $24 including expedited shipping..... It was a guess but worth taking a chance on.my symptoms: AC fan not blowing air inside the house but the outside unit running and frozen. I shut it down and after finding the capacitor (provides as starting kick to blower motor), I ordered a new one and put it in and now the unit is blowing strong and cold.A word of caution::::::: I have some basic electrical experience (very basic) --- IF YOURE GOING TO TRY THIS, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING! -- you need to be sure you get the right part and this is an electrical part with high voltage -- THIS CAN KILL YOU..... be careful or pay the service call if youre in doubt.

These do wear out. Sooner or later they quit. Cheap insurance to replace before needed, keep the old one if the new fails, in the middle of the night, or on a weekend. Lots of U-TUBE on how to replace a capacitor( be sure to discharge old one before you get a shock). Easy peasy!!!

Wasn't the same brand as what was pictured and ordered but it was the same specifications and arrived earlier than expected. It was larger (lengthwise) but fit in the same bracket/hole for me. It did work however, and my blower is going again. Still 12.5uf and 370/440 vac. Time will tell I guess if this brand outlasts the original which was Amrad and has been going strong for 15+ years.

Replaced capacitor when the furnace blower motor died. Easy installation, no problems.
