I purchased a paraffin wax machine because my doctor said it would help with the arthritis pain in my hands. I researched machines and decided to purchase the Ella Bella brand and I am very happy that I did. I have used it many times and I am pleased with my purchase. This product is VERY easy to use. A lighted touch control appears when you plug in the unit. With it you can set the temperature and set a timer if you want. You set the temperature and wait for the wax to melt, it melts quickly compared to other units. After melting, you can adjust the temperature to what is comfortable for your skin. The display shows a real time temperature progression as it raises and lowers. The wax that comes with the machine is smooth melting, comes off skin easily and as a bonus leaves my skin very soft. Everything that you need comes with the unit, ie the wax, plastic disposable gloves for your hands and booties for your feet, over gloves and booties to hold the heat in, and a brush to apply paraffin wax to other body areas (knees, shoulders, back, etc) that could use some soothing but are too big to dip into the machine, etc. One of the main reasons I chose this unit was the reviews of the excellent customer service. I didn’t expect to need it. But I did and I can report that customer support is outstanding! I had a question about the unit called the number and spoke to Ruth. The response was quick, courteous, and Ruth bent over backwards to be helpful. That in itself is a reason to chose this machine over others - it is refreshing to find a company that stands behind its product and actually cares about its customers! That was the machine, as far as paraffin wax in general for my hands, actually I was not expecting much relief and was prepared to just use it for relaxation. However, I am surprised how well it works to soothe my hands. I am a prolific knitter and using this several times a week (at least so far) has really helped. I apologize for the length of the review, but I think a good product deserves a thorough review. I hope it helps someone.

Have used Ella Bella for over two weeks once or twice a day. It’s such a great therapy treatment and relief for my arthritic hands to bathe in the hot paraffin after a cold wrap. It’s just like what I get at my occupation therapy appointment. This machine is very easy to use. Plug it in, tap the power button, then the + temperature button to 158°, then hold power button for 3 seconds, followed by + timer to 35 min. (don’t press anything else!). It starts heating up. The four bags of wax will melt together and can stay in the unit for the next time. When the wax is melted, tap the - button to 127. When the temperature reaches 127 the unit will beep. Wash hands, then place the bottom tray in the hot wax tub and dip hand/foot in 10 times. Slip hand in the provided plastic glove and then the outer white mit. Immediately (so you don’t forget) unplug the unit and take out the bottom tray; set aside for next time. Finally, sit back and enjoy the soothing lavender scented warmth. All the instructions and everything you need are included. I found a longer plastic bag to put over the finger plastic bag so it would cover the wax below my wrist. Ruth responded immediately to a couple questions I had about the Ella Bella so I rate this product and service with 5 stars! For me it’s worth the cost.

I wanted a paraffin machine at home similar to the ones in my therapists clinic where I receive treatment for fractured hand.. I wanted to pay around $125 but the reviews sold me. Now that Ruth has personally written me several times answering every question, I am happy to say the extra money was worth it. What I failed to understand is how hot they truly do get. A cheap unit could easily malfunction and scald your hand if something went wrong. This machine is foolproof. You know exactly what temperature you are achieving every second the machine is on. The quality couldn’t be better. I choose my heat setting, the wax melts quickly enough, and I am safely using the awesome lavender paraffin throughout the day to completely eradicate discomfort during home therapy sessions. I’d be lost without this machine. The added benefit of softening toughened cuticles-is amazing. My hands feel so soft and cozy as arthritic pain vanishes. There are other less expensive options but why put yourself at risk if a malfunction were to happen. Ruth tenaciously and patiently makes herself available via immediate texting to answer every conceivable question and I will love my machine long after my hand recovers. The machine cannot possibly be better in terms of construction, durability, ease of use, or products included like the fabulous aromatherapy paraffin, thermal gloves, and plastic liners. I enthusiastically recommend it without the slightest hesitation. It is wonderful.

I’m very impressed with this Ella Bella machine! My physical therapist recommended that I get a paraffin wax machine to help relax my hand muscles prior to performing exercises on my hand that was injured and required surgery. I chose this machine mainly for the positive reviews of the customer service. And I wasn’t disappointed. I received excellent customer service from Ruth, the owner of Ella Bella! I have a health problem caused by anything scented that will cause bad bouts of coughing and difficulty breathing. Since there wasn’t an option to choose unscented paraffin wax, I just hoped there was a possibility that the wax included would be unscented. Unfortunately it was the lavender. I could smell it the moment I opened the Amazon shipping box. So I searched and found the Ella Bella unscented wax and ordered it. When I texted to activate the free warranty I was asked how I was doing with the machine. I replied that I hadn’t used it yet due to the scented wax and was waiting on the unscented to be delivered and explained my issue with anything scented. Ruth was very understanding and offered to issue me a refund on the unscented wax! And she gave me a few tips on operating the machine, which is easy to use. The temperature is easy to set to the best temp for me, the hot wax feels so good on my healing hand and helped with performing the exercises with relaxed muscles. I highly recommend the Ella Bella Paraffin Wax machine!

Straight out of the box and first time using it review... Impressed. The bath is both big enough and deep enough for hands and feet... even a mens sized 13 foot. It comes with EVERYTHING you could possibly need to last you quite some time. The plastic gloves and booties are plentiful, the foot and hand warmers are exactly as expected. There was enough Paraffin to fill the bath. Instructions are fairly clear. The photo of Ella is a nice touch. The wax heated up really quickly and was ready to use. 127 degrees is perfect temp for the hands and feet... although I did use 158 to melt the wax first. A few things I noticed right away, but would not downgrade the review because of them. 1. Booklet says there is a timer. I can't figure out how to use it if there is one... or really why I would need one. I will just unplug it when not in use. 2. The plastic gloves that you're supposed to put on over the paraffin dipped hands are not ideal. Plain plastic bags, like the bootie bags will work better. 3. Don't lotion your hands before removing the lid (insert laughing emoji here), there was no way I could open the lid with slippery hands. 4. This one might be just me... but the lavender scent of the wax reminds me more of the smell of a beauty salon when someone is getting a perm. It's not enough to make me gag, but I won't be getting more of it. 5. The warmer booties do not fit a men's size 13 foot. Again, none of these are enough to give a less than stellar review. I am thrilled to have found and purchased this product and would highly recommend. I have wanted one of these for years and finally found this and couldn't be happier. My hands and feet feel brand new!

Very nice, sleek design of paraffin wax machine! Simple to use and I love that it came with everything needed to start indulging my hands and feet with the wax treatments! It feels so relaxing and is helping my hands and natural nails to heal from dryness and the wear of acrylic nails. Also, the owner has reached out directly when I texted to get the 2 year warranty and she offered helpful tips and a channel for further communication if there would ever be any issues. I've had this for several months now. Good points: Easy & visible controls, a gentle touch will change the temperature. Beeps temperature changes (alerts you if you have accidentally changed) AND beeps when it reaches the set temperature. Nice size for average sized hands. Comes with a tool to clean wax off the edges of the wax chamber and lid. The company will contact you soon after purchase, and help if you need it. So-so: the hand covers require you to spread and straighten your fingers while dipping and can be difficult to put on, but you can use the foot covers on your hands if this is an issue for you. Cover rests on small edge, there is a learning curve to prevent you from dropping it INTO machine (thus the nice tool that comes with it). Might be too small for very large hands or feet. Individual issue: the wax is VERY strongly scented. If you have allergies or respiratory issues (or just don't like lavender) this will be a problem. I had to replace the wax with an unscented wax at my own expense. They did NOT offer to provide me with unscented wax when I complained.

I received my Ella Bella Wax Machine two weeks ago and have used it every day. I have daily hand exercises I need to do daily, up to four times each day. For the stretching exercises I start out with a wonderful dip in paraffin in the Ella Bella to warm up my hand. Works perfectly, and it feels so good on my hands,. This machine is great. The well is deep and wide enough so if you want to use as part of a pedicure, your foot won't be cramped. It heats up well within 30 minutes, and I love that you can control the temperature and set a timer if you wish. I chose the Ella Bella because I researched online for best machines, and this one came out on top. Plus the Amazon reviews all rate it highly. I'm really happy with my purchase, and there's a two year guarantee!
