The amout of pressure you need to do a beautiful design with a needle would require a sewing machine! **Q: does this dissolve in water or when washed?** A: It is kind of tearway embroidery stabilizer which means that it is removed by torn away. It will not dissolve in water. **Q: Will it keep material from puckering doing had stitched embroidery?** A: That’s the purpose: preventing puckering. Hoop securely & tick project on sticky surface. For hand work, don’t put pressure on work to stretch the project. **Q: New to quilting...how is the fabric applied to the stabilizer?** A: Are you embroidering?
