Not what I expected
I had searched for "basalt rock dust" and this came up. I should have read the fine print, rather than assuming that it'd be mostly dust (as is pictured). Instead, what I have is more of a 75/25 mix of gravel and dust.Having used Azomite in the past, I assumed all rock dust advertised as such would be similar, i.e., a flour like powder. I was incorrect. Buyer beware: you need to search for microfine rock dust if you want the baker's flour consistency. Which build-a-soil only offers in 32lb bags, when I need smaller amounts than that.Update: I've worked with BuildASoil to fix my problem = they have been MAGNIFICENT to work with. Customer support has been awesome and I'm adding a star to reflect that. They're making this right for me, so I can get what I need. Highly recommend BAS based solely on their customer support!!!

Perfect for making potting soil
Update. Bought the 16 pound bag because my local store was our and I needed to mix another batch of soil. It arrived busted open. The post office had repackaged it. It was Over a pound short. Packaging is awful.I bought this dust to mix my own living soil. It seems to be of good quality and arrived with the bag and packaging intact. I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 because their were several pretty large un crushed rocks in the bag perhaps a half pound of them.

Quality Product
If your looking to add minerals to your soil or increase the magnetism of your soil, this is the best choice. Unlike other amendments, basalt doesn't contain heavy metals and is sustainable.
