How many 5m ws2811 strings can you connect from 1 output? I plan to inject power for each string, but want to ensure data works at end of 5 strings.

In my experience only two (5m) rolls/strips will work without issue with power injected before and after the strip and without using an amplifier/booster

Can this run WS2811 without a program ? I see that it doesn't have a dip switch how does it know what to run ?

The controller tells the strip what to run the device simply repeats and amplifies the data, you hook the controller to in input and the lights to the output
