Probably if you tell the device it is connected to that it's a remote control and not a speaker, keyboard or mouse.

Probably. This is a Bluetooth device that works well with my 6th generation iPad that running iOS 15.4.1. I can use it via Bluetooth at the same time I’m using my Bluetooth speaker.

Does the remote scroll on the Facebook app using an iPad device?

We could never get this feature to work, .. This remote was used one time and died completely when store for 6 months.
