However, replacing the heat strip is very simple: Pull off any remaining heat strip from the vacuum sealer. Cut the new heat strip to the correct length. Peel off the backing on the new heat strip to expose the adhesive. Apply the new heat strip, adhesive side down. **Q: Can they easily be cut lengthwise? I measured and mine will not accept a 1/2 inch wide strip.** A: Yes the length is easily to cut with scissor.
