My fault for not double checking. This is a 1x8 (1 in 8 out), not an 8x1 (8 in 1 out). It does make a difference because I was trying to run multiple game consoles to one TV. Doesn't work for that. This is for if you want one thing going to up to 8 different outputs.

This simple to use splitter allows you to repeat your display across multiple monitors/televisions with HDMI inputs. Simply plug in the output from your main device (computer, television) and connect one of the output ports to your monitor. I'm using this to display the main screen of my MacBook Pro to four different monitors right now - the picture on each is flawless, and there is no lag between actions on my Macbook screen and on the larger displays. Its great for displaying my art and photography portfolios at art fairs and conventions.This only allows for use in mirroring my Mac screen - it doesn't allow for extending the screen over multiple monitors - so it is useful as a marketing and display tool, but not for using multiple displays for working in apps like Photoshop or Illustrator.Overall a good product.Pros: eight HDMI outs - thats a lot of displays! Easy to setup and use, no software needed. Great picture quality.Cons: not useful for extending display, only mirroring!
