Super Bricks - Big Bag 1000 pc Set (10 Colors) - Lego Compatible

I would give these a 3-1/2 star rating if the option were available, but it's not... So here's the good, bad, and ugly about these bricks. First the selection of blocks is fantastic and the price is even better! That's why you're looking at buying these rather than the LEGO brand right? Lot's of big bricks here. Sure there are 1x1 bricks and small bricks, but they are generous with the larger building bricks too. No complaints there as that is what I was looking for in this set.When the bag arrived I was thrilled at the vast quantity of bricks in this set, all the colors, all the value! 2 and a half cents per brick! Who can beat that?! But you do get what you pay for. This was a Christmas gift for my children so I couldn't inspect the quality fully until Christmas day. The bricks look perfect, just like LEGO bricks less the logo. All 10 colors were there and vibrant; upon closer inspection I soon realized there was significant variation in some of the colors. Without comprehensive comparison I counted 6 colors of "blue". No matter, my kids are 4 years old; they won't care.Next the bricks clicked nicely together; very good! They were snug, tight... uncomfortably tight. My 4 year old twins can't assemble and disassemble them; they come to me. That kind of defeats the idea of getting bricks for them to build with! So now we have more Father/Child bonding time. The larger bricks hold together well, the smaller bricks not so much. Keeping 1x2 bricks (roof tiles) together is very difficult. It produces a lot of tears when the structures fall apart, first with the kids and eventually with me. ;)After checking over negative reviews on the more expensive off brand bricks I don't think the problems I'm experiencing are any different than I would have gotten if I had paid more but less than LEGO brand. For that reason I will keep the bricks I have and deal with the frustrations at hand. I do think as my children get older there won't be so many problems; at 4 years old even LEGO bricks can be difficult for little hands. So yes I'm glad I bought them but don't feel that 5 star rating is an accurate representation of these bricks. They may be as good as Mega Bloks if that helps you at all. Just go into this purchase understanding that you are paying a fraction of the price of LEGO and will get a lower quality toy (good plastic, but less than ideal fit).

I actually thought these were the Regular size not the Small size blocks. Hopefully my son will be able to use them, may take some OT work though. He has Downs, CP & Autism.

Do I really need to write anything else on this review?If you are a parent like I am, and have boys (or girls!) obsessed with Legos, then you know the pain of walking down the toy isle of Walmart or Target, and ending up in that cesspool of money wasting... the Blocks isle. 195 pc Star Wars set, $45... 250 pc Minecraft set, $70... 600 piece generic lego bucket, $100. I've spent more on Legos than I've saved for my children's college education, after 4 kiddos. Just search "Lego Creative Bucket" if you don't believe me.Super Bricks may be my answer. The price is right to provide enough of a base for my kids to actually enjoy themselves, and have pieces left over. They fit together with all of those broken Ninjago and City sets, so my son can get really creative and make that police station into a rebel base for when the one Star Wars set he has actually managed to keep together for longer than a month needs a target to shoot at, it has one.I received a discount on this product. I love this thing - I'll probably buy more of them. This particular bag is going under the tree for Christmas.

Omheck this is such a fun set of blocks. I got them on Thursday & my grandkids walk into my house & it's the first toy they go for.I love knowing I'm helping to develop their imaginations.From my 3 yr old to my 9 yr old. They love these blocks.Thanks for a great product as such a great price.They worked well with our other set of Legos. Which cost a ton more!!!

These are a great deal and they are compatible with Legos. I found Legos to be quite expensive so it was nice to find some of the basic brick pieces for an affordable price. There are a lot of nice colors (purples, pinks, etc.) and my daughter loves them.

Wow this is a huge bag!! My daughter is 7 and she really loves the blocks all you need is your imagination to build anything and have hours of fun. This is a great value in happy with my purchase.
