Cooling Safety Vest with 6 Ice Packs Reflective Vest with Pockets high visibility vest for Men Women

I spend about 4 to 6 hours once every week attending to my 1 acre jungle. Here is my setup when I go out. I live in Central Florida where the temps are in the high 90's and the humidity is just outrageous right now. I wear a full length, long sleeve navy jump suit, high top military boots, gloves, neck shade and hat. I also wear a neck fan. After wearing the vest a few times, I can tell you that it really works. Some of the ice bags do leak, but that's ok with me because it cools me down and makes the vest lighter as the hours go by. I switched to quart freezer bags instead so that I can refill them with ice as needed and they don't leak. The vest is heavy when full of ice, so take that into account. I wish the zipper was longer and came further up the chest more. The vest is quite large, (I am 5'9, 160 lbs), but when full of ice it kinda works out. In the past I would have to take an extended break every hour or so and it would take me all day to finish the yard. Now I just come in once to refill the ice bags and get drink of gatorade. At the end of the day I don't feel punished by the heat and my core temperate stays low through out the whole day. Bottom line, I like it.

This vest arrived just in time to let me get some yard work done in this Southern heat. The material is very thin, which along with the side openings allows your upper body to cool. Compared to other expensive vests that have restrictive cords on the sides, this has straps and plastic buckles that can be adjusted for a loose fit. This is an important factor that allows some room between your body and the ice packs in order to avoid frostbite. It is a good vest for light outdoor work such as lawn mowing, and light gardening. I recommend washing in a laundry bag on a gentle cycle, and hang drying. I purchased two, so I’ll always have one ready to go. I recommend it for anyone looking to beat the heat outdoors.

Love it my husband works as a flagger. And stays cool during those paving days. If you know you know….😓😮‍💨 yes very lightweight, worth the pay, very durable, fits very well. Oh and they have over 20 cooling packs w multiple use of each one. You need 6 packs for the jacket
