Is it preposterous to groom your pets in this fashion? Yes.Is it hilarious and a great way to get close and personal with your furry loved ones? Also yes.Does my husband take photos of me non-stop while I'm laughing my ass off attempting to use this thing? Very much so.Who HASN'T thought about grooming their cats and dogs with their tongue like a momma kitty? Everyone. (Don't deny it.)

So, all jokes aside about this product . . . My cat loves this as a normal brush. He does not tolerate other brushes well, but he actually enjoys this one . . . . Please note, I have not tried it as an actual “Licky” brush.

This started as a gag gift and the cats we have love it!. Easy to clean and use even as a normal brush. We have one cat that loves this but hates brushes. Oddly it works good on cats that are hard to brush. She loves it!

Okay, so I'm very close with my cat. We got her at 4 weeks old and I'm pretty sure she imprinted on me. She has always treated me like a big cat, and even nurses on my blanket at night, every night for the past 4 years. I thought buying this would step up my mommy cat game. There are obviously pros and cons to this brush. The biggest con is that it is too big in my mouth and my cat looks at me like I'm a demon and hides. So I started brushing her with it out of my mouth. At first, she cowered every time I did it, only really enjoying her chin/chest area brushed with it. So I focused in those areas while getting her used to it. I think the brush things are to pointy, so I have to brush her back very light with it, or else she verbally protests while trying to get away. But if I go light, she allows me to brush her entire body, after 4 days of getting her used to it. She doesn't cower anymore, but when she sees me grab it she usually runs. The biggest pro, and reason it got 4 stars from me, is that it's really great at brushing, gets tons of hair out. So buy with caution. My cat is 4 years old and has had the same brush for the whole 4 years. She's still getting used to this, and I don't know if she'll ever love it. When she sees her old brush, her tail goes straight up and she runs over to get groomed. My boyfriend wants me to return it, but I'm still undecided.

I'll start by admitting that, once in a while, I lick my cat even without a "Licki", so I'm probably the target audience for this item. Unfortunately, the Licki misses the target, IMO. I'm a relatively large guy, but I found the giant tongue awkward to use in my mouth (it was much better just held in the hand like the  KONG ZoomGroom, Cat Grooming Brush  that it was patterned after), both due to the size and the floppiness and angle. I could live with that, especially since the brush does do a decent job removing hair (in that it is better than the Kong), if it weren't for the fact that my cat hates the Licki (used either way) more than any brush I have tried yet. While cats are individualistic and my cat hating the brush doesn't guarantee yours will, I suspect that the issue is that the "teeth" of the brush are too firm and pointy (The Kong is similarly firm but not pointy, and the other competing pointy product, the  [Soft Silicone Pins] CELEMOON Ultra-Soft Silicone Washable Cat Grooming Shedding Massage / Bath Brush - Safe & No Scratching any more - Purple  (which I recommend instead) is much softer.)Pros:-The concept is worth a few chuckles, so it may be okay as a gag gift-It does groom a cat decently (especially when used by hand and not in your mouth)-it might make an okay teething toy for your cat... (see picture)-it is a neat conceptCons:-My cat hates it.-expensive-"licking" action is rather awkward

I bought this for my sister and she loves it. Oh, the entertainment our family had watching her lick her cats is something I just can't put into words right now. Watching the cats reaction and the sounds the cats made is priceless. I am not a cat lover and I immediately had to go outside and pat my dogs on the head and they were satisfied with the affection. My sister said the experience would have been even more pleasurable had the Cat Licki come in a variety of mouth piece flavors like chocolate or strawberry. She may have licked even longer. LOL.

Bought this mostly as a gag gift for my mother in law. She loves it. Her cat doesn’t think it’s funny but the rest of us do.

I use this as a regular brush and it works really great. Grooms my kitty well and it seems like it doesn’t hurt her, gets some purrs (not every time), but it is an excellent groomer and or is very easy to clean.

Bought for my mother as a joke present. Price pretty high but we have 8 cats and 2 dogs so it'll get use.... so I thought.Every animals is afraid of it. The cats run and the dogs look at me like "what did I do?!?!".If you love your pets do not buy.

Bought this for a present for my partner at Christmas to use with our cats. He was very happy with it, more so than our cats who tolerate it
