Excellent!
Awesome bike rack and very sturdy! We used this for the first time going away on vacation and we were involved in a crash on the highway which totaled the vehicle. Our bikes didn’t move! I was a little nervous about the bar resting on the back glass (Mazda CX-5) but no problem at all! Even with the jostling around from the accident, the foam covering kept the glass and body panel protected and there was zero damage caused to the vehicle or bikes with this attached (aside from the crash damage) I would recommend some sort of protection where the clips attach as it is metal clips on painted body panels, we used pieces of paper towel and that worked perfectly!

Easy enough to use
I've found this quite easy to setup and have been able to use it to transport 3 bikes, 2 adult and 1 kids bike. Even though it's advertised as 4 I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable that it's strong enough to hold that much weight. It would be tricky to maneuver all the bikes into properly fitting together also. The only downside to this are the clips that hold it to the car. The first few times I was very nervous the top 2 clips would detach from the car because really the only thing holding them in place is a slight curve in the metal and the proper placement of the rubber mat. If even one of these slipped off the car you'd lose all your bikes I imagine. Also the other end of the strap is only held in place by a spring clip, while very sturdy makes for several single points of failure. For the price though you can't beat this to hold more than 2 bikes.

Strong, sturdy and stable. Easy installation
Posting this after multiple use. I was skeptical to use this as a first time user. I have 29, 26 and 24 inch bikee that were to be mounted. Guess what it worked like a charm. Strong, stable and sturdy grip. Straps to lock bikes are excellent and well thought through manufactured. Would recommend this product to anyone who does not want to install the hitch.Pretty easy to install

Straps loosen easily, straps to secure bikes are very stiff
I’m using it on a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. Well made. Came assembled. There’s a strap that loops around the rack and the frame of the bike which holds the bike to the rack and can be looped through the wheels to hold the front wheel and fork steady and away from the car. Some things I don’t care for.1) the car mounting straps loosen up during use. The straps that loosen are ones that attach to the bottom and sides of trunk.2) The cradles slide easily. Other bike racks that I have had also had cradles that moved but it took a lot of force to move them. These cradles slip and slide with very little force.3) The straps on the cradles which secure the bike frame to the rack are made of very, very hard rubber. They are quite difficult to attach over the frame - very stiff. Slightly less stiff if they have been in the sun on a warm day, but still a time consuming challenge.4) There is a link to a video on the Tyger brand website about the pros, cons, uses, and installation of bike racks, but, although it is helpful, the video is aimed at bike racks in general and not specific to this rack. I’ve seen other videos for other brands which are about the exact rack you bought, and the videos show how to attach that rack to different models of cars in different ways. That would have been helpful.

Works perfect for vehicles with hatchbacks or trunks
This mounts perfect on my 2006 Toyota Matrix and with a bit of adjustment of the straps, will also mount on the trunk of my husband's 1996 Toyota Camry. Once mounted, it's easy to open the trunk/hatch so long as the bikes are not strapped on yet.

Universally good for our SUV and Sedan
Debated for many months whether to buy a trunk or hitch bike rack. Worrying so much about the safety and stability of a bike mount. I also didn't want to invest in a hitch for my old SUV. At the end, I am so happy I purchased this trunk mount rack. Not only was it stable and secure, I was able to mount it to my 2008 Volvo XC90, 2018 Honda Accord, and 2017 Hyudai Tuscon. The mount rack is well made and had no issues driving on the highway at normal speeds in the SUV. Although it was a tight configuration, I managed to get 3 adult bikes on the rack. For the bigger bikes, be careful with the bike tire being too close to the exhaust when mounted. After an hour of driving, the exhaust heat popped the bike tire. Lesson learned. When installed on the sedan, it seem to be less space between the car bumper and bike pedal/tire. To protect your car, I would recommend getting a bumper pad or having a padded covering for your bike pedal.Improvement request. Red strap needs to be longer to strap all 3 bikes together.

design flaw - rack needs more distance from trunk and an anti-sway strap
I do not recommend this rack at least for SUVs. The bottom bar does not keep the vertical bar of the rack far enough away from the trunk. This flaw allows the bike pedals to come in contact with the vehicle when all straps are used. My bike pedal extends from the center frame by 9" but the bottom bar of the rack only keeps the vertical bar 6" away from the vehicle. It is too close.Even if I use the second or third bike mount the bottom of the bike once strapped will angle towards the car and allow the pedal come in contact with the trunk door unless it is rotated out of the way. The pedals do move and the bike does shift so there is a good chance the pedal will rotate a little scratch the trunk door even if initially rotated out of the way.All the rack needs is a longer bottom bar (the bar that angles in and touches the trunk door). The first bike mount of this rack should keep the first bike 10" away from the trunk. Yes this rack is 1/2 to 1/3 the price of other racks. But for $100 more you can have a rack that gives greater clearance and has an anti-sway bar to reduce the chance of scratching your vehicle.

Gets the job done.
My 14 yr old son was able to install this pretty easily and also straps the bikes on for me. The bikes seem sturdy while driving. We haven’t tried using it to haul 3 bikes at a time yet, only two, but I’m not sure if 3 will be able to fit. Maybe it’s the style of the two bikes we already have, but it seems like a third just won’t fit well. One negative is that the bottom clips on the bottom straps come loose all the time, no matter how much we tighten them.
