Delicious (Wicked Lovers series Book 3)

I'm not going to provide a synopsis as that has been repeatedly done by other reviewers. Rather this review will be a reflection my opinion and reaction to my experience. First let me qualify my review, I am a true reader and I have read all the books in Ms. Black's wicked series. For me, this book is the worst in the series.As usual the sex scenes were scorching and the sexual chemistry between Luc and Alyssa was flammable. As a rape victim, I appreciated the author's genuine portrayal of a rape victim's aftermath / response. Luc used sex to punish Alyssa, tsk tsk. Overall, the plot was too contrive. How many stalkers can one woman have in a matter of weeks? The conflicts between the main characters was too frivolous and juvenile. I especially didn't understand why Alyssa found it necessary to allow Tyler (an employee) to have such intimate contact with her (knowing that Tyler wanted her to be his woman) then have difficulty understanding why Luc wouldn't believe Tyler was not her lover; that's what she wanted her customers to believe, that's what Tyler wanted Luc to believe. A bodyguard doesn't have to touch a body to guard it. She used her body to manipulate the men around her.Luc had a perpetual case of the pot calling the kettle black. Luc has difficulty viewing Alyssa as a viable life partner because she owns a strip club; yet, he defends her right to do so to the media and he's outraged that a customer would objectify her. His view of what a mother should be was way too conventional and constraining for someone into bondage and was in a three person relationship. Alyssa's value was so shiny and bright and Luc's blindness and constant attempts to muddy it was exhausting. There was too many repetitive moments, re-telling of the story throughout the book. This book left me feeling like I just ate a Thanksgiving meal: stuffed with too many consumed calories, a belly ache, and plenty regrets. This book was a Shayla miss for me; but, she makes up for it in Surrender to Me, Hunter's story.

Book number 3 in the Wicked Lovers, Delicious.Alyssa, the owner of Sexy Sirens strip club, has been smitten with Luc since the moment she laid eyes on him. Luc has been trying to steer clear of Alyssa because she just didn't quite meet his ideal "wife" standards.But since they had hours upon hours of hot sweaty sex in the previous book, Luc knows he is in a major dilemma between how he should feel and how he actually feels.Doesn't help that someone is stalking and trying to harm the entrepreneur and Luc just happens to have some bodyguard experience...In the relationship of Luc and Alyssa, there are many mis-communications and mistrust between both of them.Focused on finding the perfect "mother" for his future children, Luc doesn't think Alyssa fits the bill. Regardless that he's in love with her. Alyssa just doesn't want to admit to Luc how she truly feels about him because she is scared of how he will react.I've never found myself wanting to scream at a book so badly before! I love the relationship between Luc and Alyssa, love it so much. But sometimes I just wanted to yell at them that they're being incredibly foolish! HAHA.Seriously though, really good story. Kept me on edge and even got me smacking my head a couple times! That's a first!

Can I find a Luc Traverson!!!I really enjoy reading Shayla Black books however in Delicious I felt that the story line became redundant once I was half way through. However, I really enjoy the character development and how they carry over from the previous books.In the third installation of Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers series Delicious, we get a closer look at Luc, the talk dark and handsome chef.Luc Traverson is a handsome, successful, single chef who is looking for the woman of his dreams who wants to marry and having children. The only problem is that he himself can't physically produce a child, or so he believes. After ending a relationship with his cousin DeKe and Kimber, Luc however optimistic he's been can't seem to find the right woman and can't seem to get the wrong woman (Aylssa) out of his head.Aylssa is the sexy small business owner of the successful Sexy Sirens strip club. Self confidence, strong business sense and a heart of gold work for and against her after sharing one night of passion with Luc and falling head over heels for him. Aylssa will do just about anything to get Luc back into her bed and capture his heart.Luc's temptation is put to the test when Aylssa calls in an debt and Luc excepts. Working side by side with Aylssa challenges Luc's plans for the future the two fight to figure out if what they are feeling is just lust or love.This story is filled with secrets, betrayal, control, hot sexual scenes, action and of course love. Once again Shayla is able to provide a good plot, amazing characters and hot and sizzling sex scenes that leave you gasping for more.

This book is amazing! It explains everything about the main characters! I couldn't put it down! Shayla Black is an amazing author, she is another one of my favourite authors!

Was my first time reading books by this author. I love her writing style and found that I couldn't put the book down. Look forward to reading all her books in this series. Happy reading!! :)

Great. Previous reviewer has said it all. Decent plot line, great erotic scenes, slightly irritating stubborn man. A few very minor criticisms: the plot line has been done before (haven't all of them?), so I did more or less guess the slight 'hitch' in the path of true love. The other would be that there is little relationship between the Alyssa person we meet in this book, and the stripper we meet in the previous one. I did have problems tying those together. And there was no hint that Luc was that poleaxed by her when they first met. But I'm willing to suspend my disbelief.The 'mystery' side of the plot (who was stalking Alyssa) I didn't guess till quite a long way through, nor did I guess the involvement of other characters. Sorry to be vague, but it's good enough that I don't want to give anything away ...Can't wait (CAN'T WAIT) for the next one! And yes, Hunter's book will be great.
