Review: Fantastically useful tool around a wood pile - This is a perfect example of a tool that you could never imagine needing until you see it in action. I love the Fiskars wood cutting products already, so when I saw this device utilized in a video my interest was immediately piqued. I cut and split a lot of firewood now to keep up with backyard bonfires 4-5 times a week during the pandemic and my back has never been kind to me. But the hookaroon picks up the slack and makes it much less painful to move wood around as I’m cutting and splitting. I find it particular useful to maneuver big hardwood rounds and logs that are on the ground so that I can cut em without grounding the chainsaw. It’s also been very helpful pulling rounds out of ground cover and dragging them up to be loaded or split. This thing is as ergonomic as it could be, weighs absolutely nothing and is really easy to get accustomed to and use proficiently. I am not sure it saves me any time, perhaps even slows me down a bit but it definitely saves my back and keeps me working longer than I otherwise would.
Review: A Handy Tool for a Tuff Job! - This is a very handy tool to have when chopping firewood, cutting wood with a chainsaw, or even just scrounging up firewood for a campfire. It not only saves your back from having to reach down all the way to pick the wood up off the ground, but it adds a measure of safety too - since there can be all sorts of nasty critters hiding beneath or clinging onto logs and firewood, from spiders and scorpions to snakes. This will at least put them at arm's length as you use the device to stick into the top or bottom soft spots of a log and pull the wood up from the ground. For the outdoors woodsman, this tool is a must! Fiskars brand is excellent quality, and balances well in the hand. 5-Stars! Highly recommended!
