De La Terre Natural, Fragrance Free Collection 150 Gram Bar Soap

One of the most famous French Soap is called “Savon de Marseille”. It is generally made with Olive oil and alkaline ash from plants of the Mediterranean Sea floor.Once this is said, not all French soaps are using the same formula and it is the case in point with Pre de Provence which is using Shea butter to create its soap.Here are the ingredients:Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua, Glycerin, Sodium chloride, Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (shea) butter, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopherol Olus (Vegetable oil).No fragrance, No parabens, No sulfates, No dyes, No phthalates.In clear, the main ingredient is Palm Oil (Sodium Palmate).I am not a fan of these ingredients, especially the Palm oil and the impact of its cultivation on our ecosystem. It always kind of bugs me when I see all the claims as No this and No that and when the main ingredient is not good (no mention of where the Palm oil comes from).As for the sensation, it is a nice soap bar. It is large, it foams well, its scent is very discrete (No fragrance).So I am a bit on the fence here. If you care about buying products that are as little harmless to our ecosystem, you ought to find another bar or soap. Now if you just care about how the soap works for you, then it does a good job washing you.3 stars.

The performance of this soap is that it was gentle on my skin which kind of surprised me based on the simple ingredients. The ingredients in the soap are pretty basic and inexpensive, the main ingredient is Palm oil and the second largest ingredient is palm kernel oil - these are low-cost and create a very hard soap bar which dissolves away slowly during use. They have added glycerin to increase moisturizing ability to our skin and they added salt to make it more of a harder bar. This contains Shea butter for skin conditioning. This is a real soap bar made with oils, water, and sodium hydroxide - I am glad. This says it is a product of France by an American company and Shea butter is only produced in Africa. If you are looking for a fragrance free bar which also does has no parabens, no sulfates, no dye, this is a gentle bar of soap. The bar is a nice length it is pretty thick at over 5 ounces and a very hard bar I am rating it 4 stars = Like It as it worked great on my sensitive skin.

It's a good soap. There's no fragrance or scent to it, which is good for someone with sensitivities. I feel clean like with any soap, but not necessarily moisturized. I often use it for when I shave, and it actually works just as well as a shaving product would.

I like this De La Terra natural fragrance-free soap so far. It lathers well, washes clean, and sticks to the label as being fragrance-free. It's so unusual to not smell something when lathering up. It reminds me some of the old Lava soap - that bare bones scent that simple smells like soap. It's a nice thick bar and pairs well with hands, washcloths, brushes, what have you.It's unique and for those with fragrance issues, this is a soap you may wish to try. I like it!

This is a great basic bath soap. Unscented and no dyes, it works well for our sensitive skin folks. Lathers nicely and rinses clean. Doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and coated. Exactly what soap should be. We are big fans of natural/true soap bars. This one fits in well.
