Manic panic makes great hair colors. For people with darker hair lighten it first for best results. It lasts a while. But is not permanent.

I purchased this Manic Panic hair dye hoping for something vibrant, easy to use, and a good value, and it has been wonderful. The color is bold, the application is simple, and it is very convenient, which makes it a great choice for anyone looking to refresh their hair at home. It has been comfortable to work with and has held up well after regular use. The consistency is easy to manage, and the quality gives it a nice feel that I really appreciate. It has been exactly what I expected, and for the price, I think this is an excellent product and a great value. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for dependable Manic Panic hair dye.

Been using this color mixed with artic fox's space cowgirl. Going on 2 1/2 years of continued use. I don't know if I'll ever use another color again! Definitely pre lighten your hair. Works best if your hair is platinum blonde.

Really pretty shade of green. Tho I will say it doesn't seem to like not bleached hair. Even though my hair is naturally light on my roots it seemed to rinse out a lot more then I would hope but it came with (in my opinion) a perfect amount for me to do 1 coat on my hair and touch ups. (I have a wolf cut that goes just a little pass my shoulders for reference)

I really like how Electric Lizard came out on my hair! It lasts for a good several washes and then fades to a sort of greenish neon yellow. And it glows in blacklight!

Please note that this review is specifically for the Electric Lizard color of Manic Panic brand hair coloring. Overall, I absolutely love their line of colors, and before today, had never been disappointed. This color was placed over clean, bleached hair. It was left on for about an hour, with a plastic cap and heat (blow dryer) being used for about a quarter of the time. It came out looking wonderfully. I was worried that it would be a sick shade of green, but it was very bright. I did not wash my hair for the first two days. When I washed it on the third, it didn't tint the water much, so I thought it was staying in fairly well. When I dried my hair, however, I saw that the color had faded quite a bit, to almost a highlighter yellow with a green tint. Two days later, when I washed it again, I knew I would have to reapply it. In my experience, Manic Panic colors have always lasted for a few weeks and gradually faded into a lighter color. Having to re-color my hair less than a week later surprised me, and I am not happy about it. The way I dye my hair takes a while and can be a hassle, and I usually try to make time every 3-5 weeks or so. This dye is supposed to glow under a black light, but I have not had a chance to test that out yet. Part of me is wondering if whatever causes this also affects the longevity of the dye. Overall, the color itself is wonderful. If you don't need the staying power and just need a little pop for a night or two, it's great. As an everyday color, though, I'd say it's too much trouble for what it's worth. Go with one of the other colors. I know I will be.

I’ve tried a lot of greens and this is by far my fave. The only one I get anymore. It is a bit stinky when you apply it but after you rinse your hair the scent is totally gone obviously and the green lasts really well I usually touch up like once a month to keep the green super vibrant. It doesn’t bleed badly either, I did a split dye of pink and this green and both stayed bright.

Couleur achetée pour entretenir le vert de mon conjoint, le pot contient assez pour 3-4 utilisations sur lui. Le cream tone tient une coloration vibrante et verte sur environ 5-10 shampoings à l'eau froide (eau chaude à bannir si vous voulez que la couleur tienne!) puis s'estompe au fur et à mesure pour devenir un joli jaune/vert. Astuces: -Appliquer sur cheveux aussi décolorés que possible et si possible directement après la décoloration (cheveux 'ouvert' donc plus apte à absorber la couleur) -Bien faire mousser le produit! -Pour enlever la couleur sur la peau utiliser de la crème hydratante ou lait démaquillant (le toner fonctionne aussi, mais moins efficace et besoin de bien frotter). -Laver à l'eau aussi froide que possible pour éviter que la couleur ne coule -Eviter les shampoings "tenue de couleur" puisque (pour ma part) la couleur s'estompe quasi-immédiatement. Favoriser des produits à tendances naturelles et non agressives pour le cuir chevelu (la marque Yves Rocher est bien, le shampoing Fructis de Garnier est ok aussi). -J'évite les après-shampoings et autres soins sur les 4/5 premiers shampoings par paranoïa -Vous pouvez aussi incorporer la teinture dans votre après-shampoing et le laisser poser environ 15-30 minutes pour entretenir la couleur (plus difficile lorsque l'on a plus d'une couleur). Pour ma part j'ai 3 couleurs différentes dans les cheveux en version "Amplified" (Electric lizard, Siren Song et Blue Lagoon - bleu de la gamme de teinture pro) et ce depuis environ 1 mois maintenant, les couleurs commencent a s'estomper, notamment au soleil. La couleur résiste plutôt bien à la transpiration (salle de sport 3/semaine + week-end en plein soleil du 9 au 11 juin). Et j'insiste de nouveau: EVITEZ L'EAU CHAUDE! J'ai dû laver mes cheveux hier à l'eau tiède faute d'eau froide et la couleur a coulée alors qu'elle ne coule plus depuis 3 semaines maintenant....!!

This is the first time I've used Manic Panic in quite a few years. I've been using Renbow Crazy Colours, L'Oréal Colourista, Colour Freedom, Live and Bleach London colours, which are all similarly priced, around £6/7 a bottle. However, I really wanted a super bright neon lime colour for the majority of my hair, and although I've had good results before with Renbow's shade 'Toxic UV', I spotted this when I was browsing and thought I'd give it a go- and I am soooooo happy with it! The photo doesn't do it justice- in natural light it is super bright neon lime, just like I wanted. The photo I've shared is after 1 shampoo wash, a hair mask and a leave in conditioner application, and although a lot of colour came out in the wash, I was still impressed with how vibrant it is. I had to use the whole tub as I have really thick hair, so the upkeep of this colour might prove to be quite expensive, but in my opinion, the colour pay off is well worth the investment. It may be worth mentioning that my hair was bleached blonde before I coloured it, so I'm unsure how this colour would show up in darker hair. I'm going to try their neon Cotton Candy pink colour next to dye the underside of my hair, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results :)

This colour is sooo good. I had doubts before trying but my hair turned totally neon. I started with a white ish blonde, definitely still had some yellow in it, but the colour worked fine. So happy.

Amazing! Unlike any other products I've used. This one keeps my hair beautiful and not damage it. And the color is true neon green! Most other brands say light green and slap you with a gross sap green
