HOCl has a shelf like that decreases in potency by 1% each day. You can use chlorine strips to check potency. Basically the water used needs to go through the following or other studied and proven process and then be bottled immediately in the proper container in order to produce a product that would be fresh upon opening. You can buy more concentrated forms and dilute yourself but make sure you know what plastics to use and count on a 1% decrease in efficiency per day. This is fine if you are using it to sanitize a lab or say a chicken coup and use it all at once. Without rigorous and exact treatment of water and correct storage containers this product closed or open would be useless in 100 days. Here is one method: 1. I am curious to know what method of purification is used and what potency the product has at 3 month intervals from the date of manufacture in both open and sealed containers.
