Not what I hoped
First one was broken, replacement came in one piece but is warped so doesn’t lay flat so my kiln has to be propped up.

Well Packaged
It will be a couple of weeks before I can try out it's insulating properties.Despite complaints by others about damages in shipping, I found the manufacture's packaging for the 1"X18"X24" size to be very well done, giving it good chances for survival even with Amazon's sometimes haphazard outer shipping boxes. It took some work to unpack it, but that's OK because the item is somewhat fragile.

It works
This insulation board works as expected. It can be easily cut with a utility knife but corners and edges can also be easily damaged with normal handling. I tested it on top of a burning stove for 15 minutes and the other side was still cool.

Easy to cut & shape
Used this to cut out two overlapping custom baffle plates for my wood stove - manufacturer wanted over 200.00 for the two baffle pieces. I made them both from this piece using an extended exacto-blade and they work perfectly.
