I’m really happy with this Strathmore Bristol Pad. The paper has a nice, smooth surface that works beautifully for drawing, sketching, and other art projects. The pages feel sturdy and hold up well without feeling flimsy. The tape-bound design is convenient and keeps everything together while still making it easy to work with individual sheets. It’s a great choice for both beginners and more experienced artists. A quality art pad that I would definitely purchase again!

I was in a design program and I pick the Bristol Pad and I am very happy I picked it because it was the perfect size and the texture of the paper was great, and I am a really bad ripper (LOL) so the tapebound made it easy to rip the paper out. The durability was great because I have a lot of traveling to do. In my option the paper was amazing for my sketches. I did so watercolors and the paper absorbed it all. Overall, its a rly good paper pad for a design class.

I use this paper for ink art and the material was very sturdy and thick, which was what I was searching for and great for my ink drawings. Absorbs well, but if you a using heavy ink like me, give it a few seconds to fully absorb. No bleed through. Highly recommend if you work with calligraphy type ink pens.

Love this paper for its smooth texture…have switched from Mixed Media paper to this.

Quality Rating: 5/5 Based on price: 4/5 Time with Product: 5 years (purchased in 2016) Review: Where do I begin. WOW. The quality of the paper is unbeatable! It is extremely smooth and durable. It is not easy to rip this paper. It has thickness to it too. I had to outline a few of my abstract art with a fine-tip marker and there was no bleeding on the back of the page. This booklet is absolutely amazing, it is great for sketching and it can withstand a lot of ink and a lot of graphite. The main reason why I decided to purchase this product was because I was using normal printer paper to sketch and shade in my art and the paper would appear like it was going to fall apart because there was so much graphite on the paper that it felt like the paper was soaked with water. It had that same feeling. Not to mention, all the graphite bled through the paper. For example, if I was working on a white wooden table and I was shading, There would be graphite marks and shades that had went through the paper. This product eliminated that! There was no more bleeding thanks to its great thickness, and there was no longer a weird texture while shading in that a normal printer paper would normally have. This is a high quality paper and I would recommend it to all artists who are serious about their work and their art. I would not necessarily recommend this for beginners because the paper is expensive and if you are at least not an amateur, it is simply unnecessary. You can get other great quality sketch books to practice on for much cheaper and you would not notice much of a difference in quality. I do notice the difference but that is because I have reached a point in my career where those small details matter and those small imperfections are important to me. WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST | EVEN FOR PROFESSIONALS: I would suggest you purchase two sketchbooks. One for practicing and daily sketching. Projects with an estimate time of under 10 hours. Then, I would purchase this high quality paper, and I would use it only for my serious pieces of work. Anything with an expected 10+ hours of sketching and work. Great for charcoal & ink.

Great paper for art. I do mostly pen and ink and this is perfect. Plenty of room for me to tape and set for an 8x10 that I am starting. Good quality and definitely affordable.

El papel es genial para dibujos acabados, la relación de calidad precio es bastante buena, la única cosita negativa fue el tiempo de espera para recibir el producto.

La carta mi era stata consigliata per la tecnica delle matite colorate. Lavorando prevalentemente con la tecnica del pastello secco e delle matite pastello, passare a questa tecnica pittorica (matite colorate) lo trovo difficoltoso e avevo bisogno di un supporto che mi aiutasse... Questo la lo ha fatto! La carta è buona, si sante già al tatto. Forse con la liscia, anziché questa che è la Vellum, avrei avuto meno difficoltà ancora... Ma tutto sommato va bene così. Carta buona, prezzo alto (ma è il suo), spedizione e imballaggio come sempre impeccabili.

The vellum surface is perfect for Graphite and Charcoal drawings/sketches, it allows the blending process along with additional layers to produce a smooth congruent finish exemplifying the textures for the best results. The 270g/m" thickness greatly assists with negating compromising the integrity of the art work. Highly recommend.
