Neat Waterpik, Takes some Practice
My dentist had strongly recommended getting a decent Waterpik when I showed up with a toothache that required root canal. Better for your oral health, and more effective than flossing were his words. He prescribed the same when my friends showed up with gum disease.I brushed this Waterpik reco off until I had the opportunity to review this product - oh, why not.So, as a first time water flosser with no other product experience to compare, here's what I liked about this product:- Fast delivery, clean and compact design;- Travel friendly and waterproof design (you can stick a nozzle within the tank);- Easy assembly and easy to follow manual;- Came with 6 nozzles (4 identical looking, 2 with slightly different tips);- Magnetic USB charging mechanism (USB charging is my thing);- 3 pressure settings (Soft = ~57 seconds; Pulse = ~55 seconds; Normal = ~45 seconds)- 1 round of the strongest "Normal" mode felt close to getting a dental cleansing. My first irrigation under "Normal" mode was bloody but not really painful, and I felt I got so much more coverage than manual flossing or brushing. Bang of the bucks for a simple self-help deep oral care experience. What I felt were areas of opportunity:- Warnings of water pressure consequences and tips for usage during a shower would have been nice in the manual.- A larger water tank or mechanism for replenishment, maybe? It takes time to learn how to use the product without splashing water (and disgusting residues from your mouth) all over the place. Keep your mouth shut and only allow for a small passage for water to leak out of your mouth that doesn't trickle down your arms. It really takes practice.About the tank size, I clocked the modes and the strongest "Normal" mode only lasts around 45 seconds, which isn't really enough time for one round of cleansing. The lightest "Soft" mode runs a few seconds shy of 1 minute. I had to refill 3 times on my first test under "Normal" mode to finish all spots I wanted covered. The product is easy to refill, but it gets me wondering if I should go for a product with a larger tank size just to save the extra steps of refilling. Since this is advertised as for "Home and Travel", I get the compromise hence no stars deducted. If you are aiming to use the product at home only though, a bigger tank size product might be more appealing. All in all, great product that surpassed my expectations. And now I have this itch to use this product daily before I brush just to get that soothing water massage and sense of deep cleansing. Now I can see why my dentist said it would be more effective [for the lazy bones who don't like manual flossing].

Effective cleaning
Using mild warm water to flush the spaces between teeth, this product does a great job. Very easy to use, switches off automatically when all the water in the chamber is used. Effective, use it along with normal flossing

Power Button Glitch After First Charge - Edited
Edit (original review below): The manufacturer reached out to me after I left the review below. They let me know that I may have somehow gotten it into manual mode. I followed their directions and my irrigator is now back to working the way it used to. I don't know how it would have gotten switched to manual mode as I never held the mode button down before. It does mention manual vs. auto mode in the little pamphlet that comes with the irrigator(which I lost and they sent me the file) but not in the troubleshooting section where I would have looked for it. I added a star back as it now works again and the excellent customer service but I still feel it warrants only 4 stars due to the proprietary charging cable. It needs to be charged so infrequently (which is good) that it's likely to get lost (which is bad).I purchased this oral irrigator at the end of May and have been using it almost every night since (1.5 months). It works fine but since it was my first one, it took some getting used to in order to keep from getting water all over the place. I just had to re-charge it for the first time since it arrived so the charge lasts a long time but now the power button doesn't work like it used to. When I first started using it, you press the power button once to start using the unit then press again to turn it off. Post-charge, I have to hold the power button down for the unit to continue running. This is annoying, inconvenient, and puts undue strain on my thumb joints. Now that I'm outside the return window, I'm stuck with it. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend this to others but it's possible that I'm having a fluke issue. It did work really well before the power button problem so it's gets average stars from me.Pros:- works decently- compact for travel, especially when disassembled- relatively quick charging- doesn't have the "school marm/dowdy old woman" look that most other portable units have.- charge lasts a long timeCons:- proprietary charging cord - if you lose it, you're sunk- smallish water reservoir but easily refillable- power button issue after first charge (might be just me)- would be difficult to clean if it gets moldy- kind of loud (though I don't have anything to compare it to)

Fantastic battery life
What a great water flosser! I love the ergonomic design. It's easy to hold and the control buttons are flush with the body so you can't accidentally change any settings. Design is very pleasing and sits nicely on my bathroom counter. Best of all, the battery life if fantastic! I have been using it daily since I got it 15 days ago and battery is still going strong. A well engineered product in my opinion!

It’s a squirt in the mouth that you’ll enjoy
The media could not be loaded. Very simple product. No bells and whistles just the basics but it’s powerful. It will dislodge anything just like a traditional floss. I fill it with water to use before I brush then fill it with mouthwash afterwards to get that dentist feeling. It’s great and works for me.

Very Clean after use
Many friends around me are using it, and they also recommend I use a water flosser. This water flosser has three modes, I only use the soft mode, which is enough for me. It is especially recommended for beginners to use the soft mode, need to adjust the water pressure gear according to their own conditions. The biggest advantage of the dental irrigator is that it can take into account the gaps between teeth, pits, and grooves that cannot be cleaned by toothbrushes and dental floss. I always brush first, then floss, and finally rinse with a flosser. After these three steps, my teeth will be very clean.

Easy to use and effective
This the best water flosser. The battery life is amazing. Easy to use and compact for traveling. I had braces and now I have a permanent retainer, it has been a problem flossing with the traditional floss, but now not anymore. This water flosser works perfectly fine, exactly like the dental office. The stream of the water has a strong force to take anything that is caught between the teeth. The price is reasonsable and the product is well built and very solid. Before I tried it, I was not so sure it will work, but now I do not feel clean without flossing with this.Try it I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

Loveeeee
I’ve been using this Flosser for about a month. Does what it’s supposed to do. I love it specifically for just after eating to get the big chunks of food out of my teeth and I follow up with regular floss and my sonicare toothbrush.I love the design. It’s nice and sleek compared to other flossers I’ve seen that are quite bulky. It does not come with the travel dust bag as the advertised in the photos ( that’s why I’m giving it four stars). It has a bunch of attachments that you can switch out if you want to share with your partner or other family members ( even some for braces wearers). I also love the magnetic charging cord very unique touch as well!Overall pretty good product and has been holding up well so far.10/10 would recommenddddd.

Powerful cordless between-the-teeth cleaning solution.
I purchased the original Waterpick at Costco and had to return it before opening the box because I didn't want a clutter of wires laying around on the bathroom sink counter. The SHANDII is very compact yet powerful wireless flosser. I find the water container to be just the right size for quickly cleaning all of my teeth in one pass. I usually about a table spoon of mouth wash (Listerine) mixed with warm water for a deep clean.I don't know how long will the single battery charge last: I've used this flosser 5 times now - works like a charm, no complains
