National Hardware N151-431 V834 Barrel Bolt in Black,2-1/2 Inch

These type of latches have been seen by most everyone. So, no secret how they work. The metal is sturdy and nicely painted. Not much to go wrong with this type of latch unless, you buy something shabby. And, of course, I would recommend them for someone using them to meet a smaller need. Mine are used on the doors of two rabbit hutches.

What can you say? It’s a barrel bolt! The finish is nice. I’ve bought other brands where the receiver end is bent up and hard to get the bolt to go in. These worked great, very sturdy and straight. Makes the install quick and easy.

If you are very careful with the screws you can use the ones that come with, as soon as that screw driver slips even once you destroy the screw head. very soft metal. obviously you can use whatever screw you want if you need something a little stronger.

I purchased this to keep my cat from my kicking the doors to the litter box enclosure open. Works great and is very sturdy.

Installed these on a homemade shed door for closing it on the inside while working in there. It works great. Very sturdy.

It's a cheap barrel bolt lock and acts pretty much like you would expect. Ok on small animal cage or something like that but not like a shed way too small

I got them for less than a dollar. What a deal. Should of bought more. Put one on my gate door to keep my Dog from getting out.
