Finally a "Tall" that stays tucked! Soft, warm, and perfect for active days
The Fit & Length: As someone who usually struggles with shirts riding up, I am thrilled with the Tall version of this base layer. The length is fantastic—it stays securely tucked in even after a full day of bending, moving, and outdoor activity. Unlike other "tall" brands that just get wider, this one actually provides the vertical coverage needed for a 6ft+ frame. Even after several wash cycles. Comfort & Warmth: Material Quality: The Merino wool is incredibly soft and comfortable against the skin. There’s zero "itch factor," which can be a concern with wool. It provides a very consistent layer of warmth without making me feel like I'm overheating. The Snug Factor: I will note that the fit is a bit more snug than I usually prefer in a standard shirt. However, for a base layer, this is actually a benefit. It isn't uncomfortably tight, and the close fit is much better for layering and heat retention than something too loose. Final Verdict: 5 Stars. It’s rare to find a Merino piece that gets the "Tall" sizing right while maintaining this level of comfort. If you need a reliable, stay-put base layer for cold weather, this is the one.

The perfect wool thin base layer - THAT'S WARM!
My husband is allergic to lots of fibers - he really only likes 100% cotton and wool and thankfully they don't irritate his skin. He LOVES this base layer - it's super warm, super SOFT, and very durable. I like how thin it is, while also providing a good warm layer. He immediately wanted to see if there was other colors offered. It was SO MUCH cheaper than some of the other online brands. Super happy with this purchase for him.

Great base layer
Top notch base layer. Super comfortable, soft and warm. I've worn mine for the past year-ish, and the quality is very good, washing it does not shrink it, color is still good and it fits me really well. I am 6'4", 235 lbs, 36" sleeve, and I bought XL big and tall. Recommended.

Light and warm luxury
Huge fan so I bought more. Soft and lightweight yet are an excellent warming layer. Sleeves are long, shoulder fit perfectively. Great piece for tall women.

90% the comfort, all the performance for only 50% the price of IceBreaker, Ibex, etc.
If I had to pit this shirt against something from Ibex or IceBreaker quality-wise, I'd say it's about 90% of those brands' workmanship, but of course at about 50% (or less) the price. So, from a value standpoint, it's absolutely worth it. What do you give up? I'd say overall softness slightly misses the mark, at least comparatively. Again, it's probably only about 10% more itchy than an Ibex (RIP) Woolies shirt - not uncomfortable in the slightest, but every now and then I notice the texture/feel with the Meriwool shirt whereas I never think about the feel of my name-brand shirts. Hardly a deal breaker, but worth knowing if you're incredibly particular about your clothing's feel. The overall fit is good, a bit trim or athletically-oriented (good for thermal performance), but not too tight. That said, you're not getting the more custom-feeling, multi-panel construction from something like the Ibex Woolies. Once again, the latter shirt is probably 10% more comfortable simply because its construction is more complex and ultimately better tailored to the chest/shoulder area without relying so much on the fabric's inherent ability to stretch over one's angles and curves (merino is known for many things, but not for being overly pliable or stretchy). Everything else is on-par: fit and finish, strength of seams, durability of fabric, quick dry capability, machine wash- and dryer-friendliness, resistance to odors, etc. - it's all up to snuff. Personally, I can live with the compromise for the price; $45 for all the performance and nearly all the comfort of what would otherwise be a 100-120 dollar shirt is hard to beat. But if you want the absolute best, maybe skip this shirt; just know that in order to get noticeably better you'll be spending double.

Good product. Good value.
Great wool shirt for wearing up it as a pajama shirt around the house, assuming your house is in the 60s or low 70s. Also good as the top with jeans. Much softer than the smart wool products. We will see how durability is. Update: Have worn this half the nights for th past two months. Very comfortable and warm. Could not be happier. Perfect for sleeping!

My New Favorite
I bought this shirt in a men's Large (I am female) because I was hoping for a shirt with more length in the body and sleeves than a traditional women's shirt, and I got exactly what I was hoping for. I have quite a few wool 'base layer' shirts, and this one is as good as any of them. The color ('Sand' - a café au lait color with subtle striations) is lovely and very versatile in my wardrobe. I wear this as a lightweight wool sweater (jumper), so for me it is an outer layer and not a base layer. But even though it's lightweight, it's very warm. And because it's 100% merino wool, I know it will be cool in the warmer weather as well. I am going back to see if they have some other colors I might fancy, and if they do, I will be getting another... or two. Some notes on care - I wash my wool sweaters in an impellor* washer, using a mesh laundry bag and cold or cool water, with ordinary laundry detergent. I dry them on a hanger and pop them back into the closet. I have had no problems. At the end of the season, I pack them away flat to allow the wool fibers to rest over the summer. So I think the care is a lot easier than most people imagine. *I mentioned that my washer is an impellor model because I wouldn't try to do this in an agitator washer, but I have never tried it, so perhaps I am being over-cautious.

Superb quality
Beautifully made, robust, great quality merino. I bought a set of top & bottoms for my friend because he suffers with very bad night sweats. He used to wake in the middle of the night to a soaking wet bed & have to get up & change all the linen. The merino set absorbs most of it now & he is sleeping much better as a result. Thank you Meriwool!
