But those latches fail because they automatically engage when cutting hard, are fiddly to use while wearing gloves, or seize up when old and dirty. But with this product the latch is at the end of the handle. I can unlatch and latch up again with one hand (in leather gloves) by rubbing the pruner on my leg, so I can work quickly. I am confident the latch will continue to work smoothly in the future.
