This works great for soap, making but way over priced I found lye 1/3 the price in the hardware store for my soap making

I have made several pans of soap using this lye and I haven't had any issues. It mixes well with water, and is easy to use. If you make your own soap, I do recommend using this one. When I did a search before purchasing this one, it was the cheapest option. I think it works better than the first brand I bought. Depending on your soap recipe, you can easily make at least 6 or more batches of soap from one bottle. I do recommend getting 2 because it's a cheaper money option than buying separately.

This stuff gets the job done. You can't beat the price and it gets delivered fast. It melts grease/oil, but it's hazardous so full PPE is required during usage. Your mixture will get HOT so only use after you've learned about the correct mixing proportions.

for soap making, it is easier to measure lye from a smaller lighter weight container. These fit the bill, thank you!

I made a batch of liquid soap with this lye. The lye diluted clean and complete without issue, and the fats saponified perfectly as expected. Completely happy with this lye.

This was used for homemade soap. It is a decent value but some local retailers actually carry this much cheaper and it is actually labeled at 100%, this is not. 99% is close, but when dealing with formulas it matters. Good product, but might not be worth it for you at the price potentially.
