A decent start in helping your child develope number sense. Children need more than being able to count from one to ten, and recognize numbers. The size is more than acceptable and easily stored. The color is rich and vibrant. Very sturdy, has survived being dropped and thrown. My two year old easily grasped the concept of putting the pegs into the holes. It's not hard to play with.

Ok, this is a super expensive toy, but I am so happy with it the quality, durability, educational value, and fun! My toddler is 2 and she is able to focus and do ever single one of these. Now if she could just learn to clean up… anyway, I think this is an awesome Montessori educational toy and I’m so pleased with it.

The pegs fit and don’t fall out..love the large blue numbers..mine was a return because the tray that holds the number boards was broken and held together with tape. Definitely not happy..but a little gorilla glue is holding the tray together.

I looked for quite a while for a counting peg board here and finally bought this one. I'm so happy I did! The craftsmanship is outstanding. All of the holes for the pegs are perfectly drilled and smooth to the touch. The pegs that came with it are small enough for little hands, but not so small I worry about them being unsafe. What really sets this set apart from others for me is that the purple numbers are easy to read and contrast nicely with the natural wood; and I like that the wooden number cards are all the same size (some of the other sets I considered had bigger cards for bigger numbers). The cards all store nicely in a wooden tray and the pegs in a canvas bag (both included). My kids immediately took to this set and started filling in the pegs. They also enjoyed lining up the numbers from 1-10 and moving back and forth along the number line (another reason I like them being the same size). I highly recommend this set to those looking for a Montessori counting peg board.

It was a gift which was sent directly to the child’s home so I personally have not seen it . I will be sure to ask the child’s parents for their feedback.

Item arrived with a broken storage box and rough edge. Disappointed in the quality for the price.
