Works brilliantly
Tl;dr: both the support and self-heating are working well, for an acute and painfully immobilising flare-up my spouse is having. Will update as to everyday use for pain and movement when things settle down to something more of a baseline.Bought this for my spouse. They've been disabled for years, one of the problems being a slipped disc that's just caused ongoing nerve priblems, sciatica, muscles aches, etc. Add that to the other chronic pains from arthritis, and they suffer quite a lot. So a minor twinge most folk wouldn't notice becomes a major acute event. Last night they hurt their back and wound up, not for the first time, forced to use me like a walking frame to go between bedroom and toilet.I never mind at all giving whatever support is needed but I know they hate it.So we decided to give one if these a go for both the support and the warmth. We hoped it would ease the laib, tye muscle spasms, the sciatica. And we hoped it would make walking and standing easier in general, as currently they can't get far at all without the pain and weakness becoming impossible to work through.I can't attest to the general walking and standing yet, as we need to get them back to a more normal level of pain first, but I'll try to update when we've tried it for a bit. However for the immediate issue:For the support: my spouse immediately said it felt much less like its spine was made of paper and about to crumple. They still need my support as well right now, but not as much, and it's hurting them less. For the heat: I made the red bit damp as per instructions, and within 20-30mins they reported an amount of heat about equal to their old electric heat pad. Warmthis always good for their pain relief, so this is great, and it's good to know they can easily take that warmth on the move! For the fitting: we used the extension pad, fitted the main belt snug but not tight, then used the extra straps to adjust until they were happy with how it fit. It can be done more tightly when we go out somewhere, and is currently snug enough for comfort, heat and support, but not too right they cant relax, curl up on their side (their most comfortable position when in pain). It's easy to use and adjust, because velcro is amazing. It's super easy to adjust as needed. All in all, we are very happy with this! I don't usually write reviews but anything that can make my spouse feel better deserves one!

Great
On first use it did nothing then I looked at done reviews & one mentioned "not wet enough" so added mote. It took quite a while to warm up but then was amazing. I took it off after 40 mins & still have a hot back 30 minutes later. Light / foldable & may save me on a 23 hour flight!NB fits a size 16 with no extender( which is included just in case).

I burnt my back, this shouldn’t be sold to the public
Wore it for 5 minutes and removed immediately because I literally burnt by back. Returning this and reporting to Amazon.Ps my skin is not particularly sensitive or anything, this belt is just dangerous

Great product
Really good for back pain. The strap is adjustable and fits well, once on the belt stays in place well with the velcro and the belt hear up. Really effective and the heat remains for as long as you wear the belt. Really clever and easy to pop on your bag as folds down quite small.

Interesting!
OK, so this belt is durable and well made. I tried it out. It works - it heats up your back. And it has helped short term with pain. I've used it three or four times. But...It is curious - the heat starts after about 12 mins. You have to wet the belt. You are not supposed to wear it for more than 20 mins. The strange thing is that it carries on heating for a few minutes after you take it off. Also, neither your back or the belt feel physically hot after you have taken it off.So how does it work? I would like to be told the answer.. I am sceptical that this is a new age magnet induced heating effect - it is real and consistent...Two possibilities:Tourmaline is supposed to emit radiation in the far infrared - I guess this is close to microwave. Is it possible this works by making water molecules vibrate?Or - as you may find described in utube articles for some competitor products - is it possible that the red patch is impregnated with some deep heat or chilli product? If that is the case - is there a long term impact of having this pressed against the skin?Interesting.

Amazing and mysterious
I have no idea how this works but work it does! I haven’t wetted mine which may slow it down a bit, but it still heats up and boy does it get hot … only seems to really heat up next to the skin though. As someone else said, when you take it off it’s not hot and neither is your skin but you can still feel the heat in your back, and it certainly does relax the pain for a while. Absolutely amazing. I’ve used several times so far and it works every time
