Fit just fine.

After being unable to find thermocouple replacement designated for the MH540 model, I tried this part on faith the thermocouple would work.It does. It fits in same mount point as old one and the wire is long enough to accommodate the head swivel.The other wire is too short. See the pic. Thankfully, the old wire did not need replacing.

Im sure it works fine however it doesn't seem to be the problem with the heater.Didn't solve the problem.

Well, here it is, just about 5 weeks since the purchase of this thermocoupler for my Mr Heater Propane heater head. It was used about 2, maybe three times since purchase. I live in East Texas and don't get a lot of really cold weather here, so I don't have to use it very often. Supposed to get down into the 20's tonight. Went out to my greenhouse to fire off one of my propane heaters and it would not stay lite. Only reason I can think is that the thermocoupler was not working. Not new to propane heaters, have this greenhouse for over 20 years, always used propane to heat it with. This part just didn't last very long.
