Kaytee Comfort Harness And Stretch Leash Small

I have a small female ferret and was very worried about finding something that she couldn’t slink her way out of and this harness & leash works perfect! I got an XS & was concerned it would be too small but it’s just right. I gave 4 stars for comfort because she really seems to resent wearing it & the way it fits around her legs makes her walk a bit funny but then again she can’t exactly say how she feels about it so I’m just guessing. Despite seeming annoyed by it she still appears to absolutely LOVE her walks outside! Th leash is stretchy & allows her a little room to go without yanking her back abruptly when she gets going faster than me but without letting her get uncomfortably far away. I also gave 4 stars for sturdiness because the ring that is on the harness for the leash to attach to isn’t a fully closed circle and the opening was too large & allowed it to come off during the 1st use. I used some pliers to close the ring more tightly and we’ve been good to go ever since! After trying several other leashes that are not ferret escape-proof I would highly highly recommend this one!

I could not find a kitten harness small enough for my 8 week old because she is very slim built.I could have bought a collar and made it smaller by adding extra holes but I didn't want her to have the sensation of being strangled if she panicked thereby completely ruining the lead training,so I bought this ferret harness and it is perfect. However the first couple of times she tried to walk whilst wearing it, she fell over to the side which I must admit it was funny to watch. Even though it is a very lightweight harness she was only 6 weeks old when I put it on her inside the house to get her used to it. She is now obviously growing very quickly and filling out and the velcro fastening was becoming a little tight so I took it to a sewing shop and had a couple of centimetres of velcro added, so now it will last much longer. She wore it today and I now noticed that the clasp fasteners that go over the velcro ones are getting to the end of their length but rather than having those lengthened, I will just cut them off. The velcro is strong enough to hold her as she doesn't exctly drag me along, it's more of a slow wander rather than an actual walk. So if these tips are followed you can get many more weeks for a kitten. However for a full grown ferret which is what is was made for then it should last a lifetime as it is very well made. Would highly recommend this product.

I ended up receiving a refund for this product, and I have to say it is one of the poorest quality products I have ever received. I have a dwarf lion head rabbit, who is very petite, and this harness wouldn't even wrap around his chest/stomach. While sizing was actually the least of my worries, the first thing I noticed when taking the harness out of the plastic is that it was made from very flimsy, poor quality, polyurethane-type fabric and only had one layer, so it was incredibly thin. In addition, the two bottom buckles immediately came unhooked and fell off when trying to adjust it. The leash is actually the best product of this package bundle. As someone who provides a lot of reviews for brands and their products, I believe I have only given a 1-star rating twice, in my entire career, so the product has to be one of the worst I've seen to actually provide it with that rating. For the price, this is a complete rip-off, and I honestly don't want anyone else going through the hassle of waiting, expecting a quality product, and then being surprised to receive such a poorly made item. I literally threw mine in the garbage, because it was completely useless. Sadly, this is one product that doesn't live up to its standards, and I'm sorry to say that I definitely would NEVER purchase from this brand again.

Was missing one of the buckles upon arrival. Also it was too small for my little fellow. Other than that, looks like it was made with flimsy material. The leash appeared to be of good quality, its actually the best part of the whole package. Unfortunately, I wouldn't buy this product again.

We ordered two, one for each of our bunnies. The bunnies are quite different sizes, but the harnesses fit both of them nicely. "Large" is a good size for average-size bunnies but will be too small for the larger breeds and we suggest you order XL instead. It'd be nice if every seller put neck and tummy ranges in inches on these harness listings, because we've discovered the hard way that the sizes aren't at all standardized among manufacturers. The harnesses weren't the ones shown in the illustration. Specifically the "vest" part isn't open mesh as shown, but lightweight ripstop nylon. We were looking specifically for the open-mesh style as being the least restrictive for the high-jump training we're planning to mainly use them for, but the solid nylon should work reasonably well since it's lightweight enough not to be too restrictive. However, we deducted 1/2 star because of this mismatch between photo and actual item. The quality of harnesses and leashes is very good. There is one issue that will definitely need your attention, namely, the D-ring on the harness to which you attach the snap swivel on the leash. As supplied, there's a small gap between the ends of the flat side of the D-ring. First time we had our bunnies out for a hop, the small nylon loop on the harness where the D-ring is attached managed to slip through the gap between the ends. Result: I was left holding just the leash with the D-ring attached to it, and we had to go chase down a rambunctious bunny. You really need to grab a pliers and bend the D-ring more tightly closed (while it's still attached to the nylon loop, of course) so the ends overlap. That should keep the D-ring attached to the harness. This is a design/manufacturing defect and not the seller's fault, but nevertheless we took off another 1/2 star because our bunny could've vanished into the woods. It would've been a full star except you can easily fix the problem yourself. See attached "before and after" photo. We also want to mention that we contacted the seller about delivery dates and they responded very quickly and helpfully. So if you do encounter any issues, you can count on the seller to be there to assist you. Overall we're quite pleased with this purchase and would do business again.

I feel so bad for those who this product did not work out for. For those with bunnies though, you have a pretty good shot of it working out. I have two dwarf Holland Lops. I couldn't really tell you their weights but one is at least 1/3-1/2 lb heavier than the other. This harness in a medium size fits both of them. I love how the leash is stretchy and the handle easily loops around my wrist; the stretch allows it to sit like a bracelet. The double latching on the harness makes me feel safer with my bunnies. It has both velcro and a snap in two locations: around the neck and the waist. I still would not take my bunnies to an open field I don't think, but anyplace with fencing should be fine. Or if you are very good with your rabbit and they'll come back to you for a treat you might take them to an open area. My bunnies were not so happy putting the harness on, but once it was on they were fine. I am confident, considering the fun they had going out, that they will eventually learn to sit still while putting it on. The product looks cheap when examined up close but it is a cheap product so I am not disappointed; plus it looks like it will hold up well enough. And the patterns are cute.

I tried the medium size for my male guinea pigs. I don't believe this should be advertised for guinea pigs. Their front arms are too small and will slip out easily. Their big butts are the only things that keep them in. I don't feel comfortable using these again so I'll be throwing them in the garbage. In addition to them not fitting well for guinea pigs, the hooks for the leashes are very poorly made and broke on first use. So if my guinea pigs didn't slip out, they would have broken loose. It probably works well for things like rabbits and ferrets as they have substantial legs unlike my guinea pig blobs of love. The only good thing I can say is that they look super cute on my pigs.

Bought this for my small girl ferrets. It works great! One of the best ferret harnesses I've come across (and I've tried a lot of them). I wish I could have picked my color, but at least I got 2 different ones (green and cyan). The material is smooth but not soft, which I like because it does not get prickers or twigs stuck in it when we go for walks, and it stays cleaner in general. It does not have ventilation, which is the only thing I don't really like, but it's a fair trade-off for the other benefits. The best feature is that it is totally adjustable and has double closure at each the chest and neck. What I mean is at each the neck and chest there is a long piece of Velcro; once you adjust and attach the Velcro, there is another adjustable strap that goes over that with a clip. Anyone who knows ferrets knows how squirmy they are, so the double connections are reassuring. The long Velcro is also very nice. I've had other harnesses with a little piece of Velcro that just came apart all the time.

I used this product and it works my guniea pig loves it, ok you cant pick the colour mines pink and my guniea pigs are boys lol but still its great for guinea pigs, i would reccomend this to anyone as its a reasonable price.

Geschirr besteht nicht wie abgebildet aus Netzgewebe (Mesh), sondern aus "normalen" Nylon . Davon abgesehen passt das Geschirr gut, da einstellbar durch Klettverschluss. (unseren)Tier scheints in keinsterweise zu stoeren. Wird natuerlich auch nicht dazu missbraucht um es damit durch die Gegend zu zerren. Das Tier bestimmt den Weg!
