Great tool, is really well made and easy to change out attachments for what after work you need to get completed. For the price it is well worth it. It can do several jobs and is big enough to get a good grip on it. The debur and primer pock blades work well.

This case prep multi tool is amazing and better than I expected. It seems like a great value tool and I was originally thinking perhaps there was going to be some sort of imperfection in the quality with a few of the parts such as the handle or the chamfer and debur tool, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The quality, at least speaking of mine, is well made from the checkering on the handles, to the screw-in threads, and as well as the blade sharpness and uniformity. It's easily well worth the money in my opinion. Especially, if you don't have the money yet to invest in a motorized case prep station and you don't mind spending the time to manually do it, making this a great alternative. This tool comes with a VLD (Very Low Drag) type reamer for chamfering that gives a 22 degree chamfer for the inside of the case mouths and a deburring tool for the sharp burs on the outside edges, as well as small & large sized primer pocket cleaner and reamers. Though it doesn't specifically list here on Amazon's or immediately Lyman's product page, but according to the instructions link on the Lyman's website, it supports 17 - 45 caliber. All the parts easily store inside the handles which is a good way not to lose your parts if you have a busy reloading station. You can also separate the handles and use each tool separately, but I personally tend to prefer having the handles connected together so I can use the rest of my hand to support the tool, allowing me to turn/rotate the tool more efficiently and keeping the the tool parallel to the cartridge cases. I highly recommend this tool for any reloader.

The Lyman 7777800 Case Prep Multi Tool is the best multi tool at this price range. If you use in it's manual function or to attach tool heads to any of the automatic motor driven multi prep tool centers like RCBS, Hornady, et al., these tools are the same standard threads so don't worry about fit and function, and with the various inside and outside deburring tools, large and small primer pocket cleaners, and large and small primer pocket reamers provide almost everything you'll need for crimped and non-crimped cases. The 22' VLD reamer is an awesome addition! All of these tool heads and more come with the Lyman Case Prep Xpress so check out the Case Prep Express as there's no substitute for the auto drive motored operation of the Case Prep Centers! The time savings alone is well worth the purchase. I use these Lyman tool heads on a RCBS Case multi prep center and buying all the individual tool heads gets to be a pain in the backside and more expensive so I just went with the Lyman 7777800 Case Prep Multi Tool and use the various tool heads as needed. Way cheaper, easier, and faster than manual drive in the long run! I know there is some controversy regarding this tool and it's effectiveness, but for what I use it for it works well and is very handy. I reload, primarily, 9 mm ammo using "once-fired" brass and every now and then I come across a brass case with a crimped primer. I can get the expended primer out, but I can't get the new primer into these cases because of the crimp, but with this tool and a few twists I can expand the primer pocket opening, just enough, to accept a new primer. Caution: you don't want to overwork the primer pocket or you will have a gas leakage problem around the newly installed primer. For my purposes the tool works very well, but I can't speak for heavy use on other cartridge cases. The handle is clever and stores the additional parts, is very convenient; whether it is worth the extra expense, I can't say.

I have been reloading for a number of years now and thousands of cases later I am still looking to improve and become more efficient and more accurate. This Lyman case prep combo is the bomb. The item is larger than the picture indicates; it is about the size of a Churchill cigar. That is an extremely nice feature since after hours of handling there is no fatigue in the fingers. It is harder to lose and easier to handle. That is an important feature when handling many cases. The tools are sharp and durable but the key feature is that the angle of cut on the chamfer and deburring blades are much sharper, steeper than the similar LE Wilson and Hornady tools. That is, the angle cuts are sharper eliminating the need to exert excess cutting on the cases. Normally I would need to rotate and angle the deburring tools to get the desired finish on the brass but this tool does it naturally. Secondly the kits comes with swaging, and reaming bits large and small that normally need to be purchased separately and become quite expensive. All of the bits store in the handle of the tool. Finally, the bits can be chucked into a variable speed drill with a low torque setting and using a dimmer rheostat I can set the speed of the drill, in a vice, and use the bits like a fixed case prep station. The sharpness and durability are outstanding and the aluminum handle is very ergonomic. I give this tool 5-stars willingly and will buy again if I lose this one. Its not a beginner tool only, although looking back, I would have bought this and saved a lot of money on individual pieces. The size is outstanding, the value, Priceless. This hits the spot.

This is a very high quality tool and an excellent value. You cannot even buy the individual tool heads for this price and the grip is awesome in its own right. I mainly bought it for the tools... I cut-off a broken cleaning rod about and inch from the end and screw the tools into it then chuck it in a drill (so i don't ruin the threads). This works amazingly fast in batches and is a lot cheaper than a prep center (any self-respecting man should already have a power drill anyway or needs an excuse to get one). Whenever you have a few shells to chamfer, debur, etc the handle make for an excellent, comfortable grip. You could use it as-is on larger batches comfortably (i get a lot of hand cramping with other tools but this fits my hand much better = no cramps). Everything (including my adapter) fits snugly in side the grip. Anyway, it looks great, feels great, and is a quality/sturdy item. The handle is a solid aluminum construction with a nice orange finish and nice deep knurling. Don't hesitate to get one if you need any of the bits included with it.

I have a few other brands of case reamers and primer pocket cleaners, but this works the best. I like the design and all the bits are of great quality. The case chamfer tool works great and it will even fit into primer pockets. The deburring tool also does a great job. The primer reamers both do a good job and they are gentle on the pocket mouth. The pocket cleaners get the pocket nice and clean. The handle is made of a quality aluminum and reminds me a lot of herb grinders. The diamond pattern is nice and gives it a great grabbing surface. The tool handle is very fat so it is easy to handle and hold, but there is a lot more turning involved. Lyman has always had orange products, but this looks more like a shiny gold. It looks nice and classy on a tool shelf. I would recommend this because you will have everything you ever need to clean and prep a case in one tool.

Getting my reloading center set up is taking time as I've got other higher priority projects in motion. I do find time to get some brass cleaned up. Lately I've been cleaning .308 brass mostly from Lake City and Federal both .308 WIN and 7.62 NATO. The tool is easy to handle and I really like the fact that you can store the unused bits in the handle preventing "misplacement"! The NATO primer pockets are usually crimped and the reamer makes quick work of removing the crimp. The cleaner bit is a nice little addition to get rid of some of the carbon at the bottom of the pocket. If you're doing a lot of cases the bits can be chucked into your cordless drill - much quicker and easier! So far I'm very happy with this tool! I definitely recommend this as a must have for your bench.

This is true Lyman Product and the tool is very sharp making it easy to use. You fo however need to ad a little pressure for it to cut the first time on new cases inside the mouth which is ok, but many i see do not do this and complain the tool does not work. Do not by any Knock Off Brand that looks like this Lyman as they are not Lyman products and are Cheap Knock Offs and are not sharp nor warrantied.

In today's world of throw-away junk, it's always nice to find something that is a properly well designed and well made bit of kit. This is one of them. Solidly made and works well for pocket cleaning and reaming, and neck chamfering too. Pleasure to use and should last for ages. Also like the low angle VLD boolit inside neck reamer - slick as. Recommended!
