Is this suitable for a 14 year old or is it to little girlish?

Cindy, it is an adorable jewelry box and my 6 year old granddaughter loves it. It would be a wonderful keepsake for your 14 year old but I doubt she would use it all that much because it is rather small.

Made in China? From the reviews it doesn't sound like American craftsmanship.

I think it was made in China, but it is beautiful and was very well-made. I ordered it for my great granddaughter and she loved it.

Where is this jewelry box made?

I guess it is wood underneath the print but I am not sure. It is very sturdy.

What is this box made of?

It’s kind of like a pressed paper and the inside is felt lined.
