Buggy but Playable and Fun
The game is no doubt buggy, especially near the start of the game. The two main issues are a render distance that is slightly too small and objects not loading during cutscenes. These can be easily fixed with an update or patch and I hope they get around to doing just that in the years ahead. That said, neither of these takes away too much from the gameplay. It is still an incredibly fun game and (ignoring the bugs) the best installment so far. I'm excited for the next Anthology game and I hope more people get involved in this game series. I heard some people thought the game was really short but I didn't think that in my playthrough.TL;DR - Bugs hold this game back from being a 5-star fun game you can play with your friends. Don't let the bugs hold you back from this experience.

Better than Man of Medan and Little hope
Great game. Several more hours of gameplay than the earlier two in this franchise

The BEST Game From The Dark Pictures Anthology Series So Far!!
Although I absolutely loved the previous games from the dark pictures anthology series, Man of Medan and Little Hope, I found House of Ashes so much better! Better in storyline, characters, character development, and very gripping.Man of Medan was a nice ghost ship game with a few chilling moments here and there but it reminded me so much of the 2002 horror movie 'Ghost Ship' with Gabriel Byrne. Shawn Ashmore acted well.Little Hope was all about witch craft and although it was creepy and good, I felt it lacked character development. I didn't care if any of the characters lived or died.In House of Ashes, I found myself liking a couple of the characters and want to keep them alive.

The 2nd best game in the series
Like all Supermassive games, i always compare them to the one that started it all - Until DawnAnd i have to say storywise and interaction wise, House of Ashes is my 2nd favourite after Until Dawn, it had such an interesting story and depending on your playstyle, good character developmentI always buy the Supermassive games - Dark Picture series as they are always reasonably priced, i paid £24.99, and i view the games like interactive movies, they have replayability as there is so many different ways the story can go depending on how you play it, so you essentially have many possible different interactive movies, and for the price it is worth it

Solid horror game
Really enjoyed the story and gameplay, it's nice to be able to finish a game in under 10 hours. Sadly my game was pretty buggy and audio frequently had problems like clipping and playing at a slower speed so lines of dialogue weren't finished before the next line played. There has been an update, which improved things but didn't fix it fully. Hopefully another update will sort the problems once and for all.
