Just don't forget the little transmitter chip in the old key. First time I switched the guts over I missed the darned thing and nearly flattened the battery before I realised, went back, dug the old key out of the bin and found the little plastic cover and chip in the corner of the key. popped it in and away it went. It's that unobtrusive white plastic thing in the corner and your car won't start without it. Took me most of the day to discover this, then had to go through two wheelie bins to retrieve the old key bits.
