Works great for my condition!

I have ichthyosis on my legs. After googling a bit, I found this term (also used by another reviewer here.. which is accurate!) and noticed that the google images of ichthyosis look like flaky fish type of skin which was my condition also. The recommended cream was Ammonium Lactate so I bought this bottle and finished the whole thing. It definitely takes a few months but after religiously applying everyday after shower for few months (I think about 5 months), I saw the decrease in the look of ichthyosis on my skin :) This thing WORKS and it's cheaper than going to a dermatologist or having to cover my legs for rest of my life (Im a 30 year old girl). TRY IT! btw.. I still have a bit of ichthyosis left so I still use this cream and now its been almost a year (onto bottle number 2). I dont think I will stop using this until its completely gone.

This lotion, smells funny and burns. It’s supposed to. It works really well. I have ichthyosis and used to have to get a prescription for this lotion. I found it here and was worried it wasn’t the real thing. It seems like it is legit. It smells the same and works the same as the old Rx lotion I used to get from the pharmacy. Do not use this cream if you have normal skin. It’s not necessary. If you have bad skin like mine, it will work. It isn't pleasant, which is why I mix it with Aveeno, but it works and my skin looks and feels more normal than it does when I don’t use it. I will be buying again.

All ammonium lactate lotions will smell like ammonium lactate, at least on initial application. Get used to it. If the lotion works to relieve itching, as it did for me, it's well worth the inconvenience. Those averse to parabens should seek lotions from other manufacturers -- zoom in on back labels to read contents.

Like many other people on here (and like you probably are), I was really skeptical. Even with all the rave reviews. I tend to think most products are BS. But this here is definitely the real deal. I had pretty bad Keratosis Pilaris. Based on the reviews I decided to give this a try. I used the lotion (unscented and a little sticky) for one week and it seemed like my skin was getting worse. Then I decided to start lightly exfoliating with my loofa instead of washing my KP with my hands. After a week of applying this lotion right after the show my KP is nearly completely gone. I’m in shock actually. This product works. I highly recommend purchasing and using.

My son suffers from a genetic skin condition that scales the dry skin and does not allow the skin to flake off as normally. I can't remember exactly what the condition is. The Dermatologist that diagnosed him suggested that we use Amalactin cream with Ammonium Lactate. That product never really worked I am assuming that it is so to the lower percentage of Ammounium Lactate. That product is also much much more expensive. All I have to say is this product is extemely good. My son's skin has cleared up dramatically. His skin begin to clear up noticeably within the first 10 days of daily use and the price can't be beat. Highly recommend this product.
