This gives a pretty close shave for an electric razor. Electric razors never shave as close as manual razors but this one almost does. Foil razors have trouble with longer hairs, as the tip of the hairs must end up in the tiny holes in order to be cut, but the middle blade does a good job of taking care of that. Battery life is decent, mine needs an overnight recharge about every other week when I use it ~5 minutes every day. (So maybe about an hour of total time) By far the best feature is that genuine replacement foils are significantly cheaper than for any other shaver I've owned. It's worth paying more for the shaver itself when the consumables are cheaper, as it saves quite a bit in the long run. The foil that came with it lasted probably about 6 months, long enough that I don't actually remember. My shaver has also survived being stolen by my offspring, misused on polyester animal hair and subsequently thrown during the ensuing high speed chase. It also does not work well on the top of the head, but is unfortunately highly effective on eyebrows. (Keep out of reach of children.)

I started out shaving with an electric razor 55 or so years ago. When disposable plastic razors came out 15 or so years later, I switched and never went back. Lately I bought an actual safety razor, just to try it out (a Western Razor, which I recommend). Around the same time, I started taking blood thinners for a heart condition. And suddenly, the occasional nick turned into a bloodbath. I was at the point of being afraid to shave. So I searched on Amazon, and found this little gem. It is a pleasure to use, and I almost look forward to shaving. It's quiet, with excellent battery life. It's easy to use, very ergonomic, and exceptionally easy to clean. The light weight makes it easy to take on travel, even in carry on luggage. At the price, it's a great value. I don't know about durability yet, but I don't see any sign of wear yet. Highly recommended.

I have used Braun shavers for decades and very satisfied with them. My old one was about 2 years old and in need of of a new cutting head. The price difference between the cutting head and the whole new shaver was not much, so I decided to order a whole new one. It arrived on time and looks and cuts good, but unusually noisy and loud. I noticed that this old German company is now owned by Procter & Gamble and the production has been shifted from Germany to China! That explain the poor quality and the loud noise.

My first Panasonic shaver lasted seven years the second lasted six, but they never really shaved me very well, so I thought I'd try this brand. I thought it would be wise to start with a less expensive Braun. This inexpensive Braun shaves better than either of the Panasonics. It does not have the "percentage of battery left" window that I've been used to, but I do get seven full days of shaving on a charge. I pat some Williams Lectric pre-shave lotion on and in no time I'm done. For what it's worth, my theory is that the reason it cuts better is because the blade cycle is so much slower than the blade cycle in the Panasonic.Regardless of all that, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I thought I should share.

I've been using this to shave my head. Works very well. Can really get the small tiny hairs and even some of the long ones. I highly recommend this item. For best head shave, use this foiled shaver on your head first, then finish off with the rotary ones. The combo works really well.

Doesn’t get the best shave I have to redo it like 4-6 times till get rid of the hair but i would give it a 5 star if it shaved everything in one or two times

I just got my shaver today and I tried it out; it gave me a nice clean and close shave in a short period of time. My old Braun would take a long time to get an almost decent shave. You can't beat the price either! I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
