Comes clean after use: I've read that whatever is used for melting wax for candles is basically not usable for anything else after that. I used this double-boiler to melt soy pellets, bees wax ,and items for diy lotions, and with hot water and a good dish soap (I use DAWN) it comes clean everytime. Initially, with the soy wax, I was a little worried about it coming fully clean but I took a chance anyhow, and I found that really just wiping it out before the wax dries is helpful, and then hot water and dishsoap worked. There has been no evidence left of wax residue. The double-boiler is stainless steel so I feel it's very durable and won't just fall apart. It worked well for my melting purposes. It is a fairly good size for small batches, and comes clean. It's a simple product that I've found to be handy when I diy! All win-win for me. I'd recommend this product and buy it again when the time comes. I might go a little larger next time though. I believe this one is around 4 cups. I've only had it for a few months so not sure how it will work long-term, but since there's no coating on the finish, and it's stainless, I anticipate it will last for quite a while. Also, soy and bees wax are more natural products so maybe other waxes would have a different result.

Love everything about this. The handle is great, the hook on the opposite side keeps it securely over my pots while melting everything inside as expected. The pour spouts are perfect. Super happy with this find.

This is the perfect size. The base is not too thick but not too thin either. It seems just right. Love the silicone on the metal handle. Unfortunately, it came with half the handle detached from base. Hopefully, I'll still be able to use it. Other than that, it looks perfect. Can't wait to use it. UPDATED REVIEW: Though this item was received with some relatively minor imperfection as noted above, I not only like this product but I like the seller, who contacted me to make the issue right. I have also submitted feedback for that at the seller level. I DO recommend this product and would buy again at different sizes.

Originally I wanted to send this back because it's smaller than I had hoped, but it handles a cup or maybe two of melting chips without any issues and there are some things I like about this double boiler that make it better than the bigger one I also bought. #1, I love the pour spouts so I can make decorative patterns with the melted chocolate. #2, it has a flat bottom so you can set it on the counter without it rolling over on you.

Look very sturdy. Haven't used it yet but it is as pictured. I expected a smaller size but was happy to see it was somewhat bigger. The weight is heavy but not overwhelming. The rubber handle looks to be very useful.

Exactly what I wanted and am very pleased. Hopefully it really is stainless steel and does not end up rusting as so many items seem to nowadays.

I look forward to creating homemade soaps and lotion bars for myself and for gifts.

Not worth the money

I chose this instead of a double burner saucepan and glad that I did. Just the right size, very solid and so easy to clean. It actually fits several saucepan sizes and melts the chocolate extremely quickly. Great little gadget
