A good product for dry winter chapped hands.
I purchased this item at the same time as the Trader Joe's Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream.( the one in a 3oz aluminum tube) Comparing these two: This product, gloves in a bottle, is closer to a lotion consistency, but does provide soft hands, and it will hold up to a quick hand washing. If you really scrub your hands for a "happy birthday" handwash, you'll likely need to reapply. I like the way it makes my hands feel. It absorbs into my skin well and rather quickly. A very light scent. Nearly scentless, it should not conflict with any other fragrances you may wear. The Trader Joe's hand cream is thicker, definitely a cream. I love the way it feels on my skin and how well it moisturizes my cuticles. I had really dry damaged and cracked cubicles becore, and this cream really sticks with me. It goes on very velvety, and absorbs quickly. There is no greasey feeling, but it sticks through a hand wash a little better that the one above. It lasts better if you need a hand cream to use before you fall asleep, in my opinion. I think the metallic tube is Very retro cool looking, but it can be hard to dispense the cream. It seems it will be more difficult once you start to get to the end. We shall see. My Winter dry skin is battled well by both. My hands and cubicles are in much better shape because of these products.

Wonderful lotion great smell
Saw this on an Instagram story and was influenced. The scent is very light and airy almost linen like; super fresh. Love that itโs not super greasy and the two pack option. Perfect for travel, doesnโt spill and works great on my sensitive skin. I use it on my hands and arms.

Second time purchasing - still just as good
I like Gloves in a Bottle - I first learned about it at the start of the Pandemic, back when we were all washing our hands 64,345,846 times a day. When I bought it then, it was great. I was working from home, but my hands were SO dry from the constant cleaning of ALL the surfaces.... Sigh... remember the days of wiping down groceries when they came in the house? Changing your clothes at the front door because we didn't know how COVID was spread, and we didn't want to possibly expose the kids to it? Everyone at home 24/7, sure the kid's not supposed to be on screens all day, BUT WHAT ELSE COULD WE DO. Anyway, my first bottle lasted me a LONG time. All the way through returning to the office. I didn't like that that if I put too much on my hands they felt... I dunno, slimy? slippery? But a little bit goes a long way. Flash forward to 2022, and I recently reordered a bottle because we're moving, and touching the cardboard boxes, packing paper, making sure the packing tape was stuck to all sides of the boxes, dusting off things that haven't been dusted in a while, were all WRECKING my hands. I've got these soft designer hands that are used to typing as most manual labor that I do on the regular. This bottle is SAVING me during this move. I know without, my fingers would have all cracked open by now. So like I said, I really like Gloves In A Bottle. It feels a little pricey, but it also goes such a long way for me, as someone who doesn't work with their hands every day. The only negative that I can say is that if I put too much on, my hands feel icky. Oh, and as for a smell, it's slightly medicinal, but I really appreciate that I'm not overwhelmed with florals or perfumes from this. If you like low-smell lotions, this is a good way to go.

A True Barrier That Works
Iโve tried countless lotions and creams, but Gloves in a Bottle is the first that actually feels like it protects my skin instead of just sitting on top of it. It absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and truly helps with dryness from frequent handwashing. My skin feels softer and less irritated even hours later. If you struggle with sensitive or cracked hands, this is a game changer.

Surprisingly effective KP treatment!
I wasn't looking for a KP treatment when I first bought Gloves In A Bottle. I was simply buying it to help protect my hands from further irritation due to a mild allergic reaction I'd been suffering from. When I absentmindedly rubbed some excess lotion from my hands onto my cheeks I was absolutely stunned moments later when I brushed my face & it was SMOOTH! I've had wicked KP on my face & arms for as long as I can remember. I've tried anything & everything that you can imagine. I even went to cosmetology school in part to try to learn how to fix or manage it but nothing has ever really worked for me. I haven't tried this lotion on my arms yet but the skin on my face feels incredible! It's like I'm touching someone else's face. It's kind of alarming. When I say that I was "stunned" when I felt my face, bump-free . . . I'm being quite literal. I was actually startled, as if I had accidentally brushed someone else's skin. It was truly a shocking moment. If you have KP & haven't found anything effective yet . . . I would strongly advise that you give this a shot. (TIP** If you're using any kind of SA scrub or wash . . . Dandruff shampoo is composed of precisely the same ingredients as any SA products & usually has a higher SA content than the average scrub/wash. Dandruff shampoo is often more effective & less abrasive than most SA treatments. Just thought I'd throw that out there.)

This stuff is amazing.
This stuff is worth it. My husband hates greasy hands from using lotion. He used to use working hands and it took a lot of coaxing for him to even give it a chance. He now is in love and says it works better than working hands. No stickiness, it really does help show a visible improvement to your skin too.

It is not really thick and filmy, but it works wonderfully ๐
I have been using this for a few weeks now and REALLY like it. I have used other barrier creams and they have all been thick and feel weird on my hands. This is light, dries quickly and doesn't leave me feeling like I had my hands soaking in fat. I can put it on after I have used my coconut oil and I generally only put it on in the morning and at night, unless I have been washing my hands a LOT. Like when I'm working in my kitchen. Then I put it on when I finish. The most I have done is 3 applications. It is important to note, if you want to put it on after you have used lotion or oils, let your hands dry first, then use the gloves in a bottle. And also, let it dry thoroughly. It only takes a minute or two. And you don't need a lot. I have severe eczema on my hands and even with my medication from my dermatologists, when I have to wash my hands alot they get really bad. This helps SOOOOO much to keep my hands from drying out and cracking! Will keep it stocked in my house, always!

Hand shielding lotion
in the last couple of years I've noticed that peat free composts are making my hands dry and fingers are cracking. I wear gloves as much as possible but you can't beat bare hands for potting up (except cacti lol). I saw this recommended in Kitchen Garden this month so thought I would give it a go at ยฃ10. So far I'm impressed. A small pea sized amount covers both hands quickly and it dries quickly without feeling greasy. It leaves your hands feeling smooth. When handling compost you get much less sticking to your fingers and when you wash your hands the dirt comes of very quickly and your hands are easier to clean to get rid of the ingrained dirt that I usually have at this time of year. Each application is supposed to last 4 hours so I apply first thing and again after lunch. My only concern is that I'm a contact lens wearer so avoid hand lotions later in the day when I need to remove and clean my lenses. This shouldn't be an issue as I don't tend to garden late into the night! Recommended.

It really works!
I am a full time chef and have been in kitchens for 27 years. As much as I love still being involved in all elements of kitchens, my hands however donโt. Years and years of washing and having my hands immersed in water, detergents, sanitiser, etcโฆ my skin tears easily. My wife found gloves in a bottle for me and what made it better and different from the rest is it is water resistant. The fact that you donโt have to reapply after washing hands makes it the perfect product for anyone that has wet hands throughout their day without the inconvenience and expense of having to put on after every wash.

Great for work
I work in a warehouse so my hands are always exposed to stuff, this provides a barrier and works great, stick some on after washing hands and you will notice the difference
