EPAuto 1/2-inch Drive Click Torque Wrench, 10-150 ft/lb, 13.6-203.5 N/m

I needed a solid 1/2-inch drive torque wrench for doing things around the garage, like checking the torque on my vehicle's lug nuts. I picked this one up and it does exactly what it needs to without being overly complicated or hard to set up. Pros: . The high-contrast scale is really easy to read, even if your garage lighting isn't the best. . It has a very clear "click" that you can both hear and feel, so there's no guessing when to stop pulling. . It feels well-made with a solid non-slip grip, and the included hard case and extension bar are nice bonuses. Cons: . The satin finish looks good out of the box but tends to show grease smudges pretty easily if your hands are dirty. . Adjusting the torque setting feels a little stiff at first until you use it a few times and break it in. Overall, it's a completely reliable tool to keep in the tool chest. If you just need a straightforward, accurate click-style wrench for routine maintenance, this is a safe bet.

This torque wrench seems to be very well made. It’s been a while since I used a micrometer type adjustment handle, but my Air Force maintenance time serves me well. Before I forget, there is an all black version of this that has a nice contrasting color for the settings etched into the handle. My old eyes could have used that version. This torque wrench is replacing an old Craftsman Digitork torque wrench that has to be every bit of 40 years old. I was torquing lug nuts on my F150 and something broke inside the ratchet head. The lug nuts need to be torqued to 150 ft-lbs. The old torque wrench is 21” long. This torque wrench is a bit over 16” in length. Trying to torque a lug nut with a shorter handle is a bit problematic. I don’t want to use a cheater bar on a delicate instrument. I am considering returning it. EPAuto makes a 25-250 ft-lb model that is 25” in length and would have considerably more leverage. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice torque wrench. I could use it for lug nuts that need to be tightened in the 80 ft-lb range. Still deciding on whether to return it.

Very pleased with this torque wrench. Package arrived as advertised. I bought it to torque the nuts on my lawnmower blades when I change them, and it does the job well. Very solid and well constructed! Haven't tried it on my car wheels yet. I have someone who torques my wheels for me. I would recommend this product.
