First bag was a hit… second bag 5/10
10/10 recommend. I’m 6 months pregnant and last week I started craving this dirt. I haven’t had it in over 15 years. It tastes exactly how I remember. After the rain / chalky taste with nice crunchiness. I did take this as a sign I need to watch my iron. But this dirt is good! Update: Ordered my second bag and it was def 5/10. Seemed like clay chunks was mixed with the real dirt. Didn’t taste authentic or real. Almost like something somebody blended in or created to imitate white dirt. Taste and texture on several pieces weren’t good.

Don't believe all the comments.
I was really excited about getting this product because of the comments everyone was saying that it tasted great, it was an awesome product. So when I received mine a week after I ordered it. I decided to try it out as you can see in the video towards the end of the video when I'm holding the bigger piece there's a lot of shine to it that's glass there was one other person in the comments that had mentioned glass being in the chalk and when I got mine that's the 1st thing I checked for and sure enough there was glass in it. So this is not edible I wouldn't advise anyone to eat it. I did taste mine it did not taste great it had a very chemical taste to it, it wasn't that earthy at all. As soon as you bite into it,it melts very quickly it has is a very creamy consistency to it but it does not taste good at all. I will not be purchasing this product again.

It’s super good after a little airing out
I love this dirt I usually buy three at a time. I do let it sit a few days and it taste so good. I literally at my last bag in like a week so good and crunchy. And it actually doesn’t make me constipated , it actually helps me to have a movement and I suffer with constipation on my own. It doesn’t even necessarily need to be cooked but if you want extra extra crunchy you could but definitely just open the big slightly and let is sit will do it justice and you won’t be able to put it down. I use to love the super small pieces but I like the middle size pieces that you can chew and fill your whole mouth. It satisfy the craving perfectly. This the only clay dirt I order, the shipping fee is a little an expensive but it’s worth it to me cause I love it. That’s why I usually buy three at a time , I’ve thought about the boulders but just haven’t ordered that size yet. I do recommend if you are a true clay dirt eatier.

VERY GOOD TEXTURE AND TASTE
As a first timer ordering or ever eating clay dirt. I have to admit the experience wasn't bad. As a child growing up my mother talked about eating red clay and how she loved it and missed it. So she began to eat ARGO Laundry Starch as a substitute. So I would try a bite of the Argo starch every now and again. Couldn't quite understand why she would get cravings for it. It's been 35 yrs since I've eaten Argo Starch as a kid. All a sudden one day recently I got a craving for the ARGO STARCH and looked it up on Amazon. Bingo, found the ARGO STARCH that had been discontinued selling in your local corner stores. Boy did it bring back memories. I love the taste of the Argo starch mixed with a little water to get the big lumps. So as I began to keep ordering ARGO STARCH from Amazon. An advertisement for GEORGIA DIRT showed up. I liked the way it looked so I thought what the hell just order it to taste what my mother had experienced in Red Clay. I REALLY love the crunch in it the most. Although, it has a kinda waxy taste, it still get 4 stars from me. The texture is on point. The only thing I don't like about it is the creamy texture it turns into after chewing it. It's thick, creamy and all in my teeth and hard to rinse out of your mouth. If I didn't have that problem. I definitely will give GEORGIA'S WHITE DIRT 10 STARS. ITS VERY ALRIGHT WITH ME.

Give it a chance
I’ve been eating clay dirt from Alabama since I was little. I love the earthy flavor of it. I decided to try grandma’s white dirt because I ran out of the bag from Alabama, and now live in Texas where this clay is not available in any stores I’ve been in. When it first arrived, I was highly disappointed at the taste. It had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. You HAVE to let this dirt air out to get that sweet earth flavor. I put a couple chunks of it in a sandwich bag and left the bag open on my kitchen table. The longer it airs out, the better it tastes. It took about a week for it to get the way I like it, and I love it. Side note: remember that clay absorbs whatever is around it. If you have it sitting next to perfume, it’s going to literally taste like perfume. If you leave it next to deodorant, it’s going to taste like that. Air it out somewhere in a general area by itself. I’ve also found that it tastes better if you crush it up almost like powder and put a little in your mouth at a time. It tastes chalky if you eat big bites. I’ve seen some reviews that said they threw it out because of how it tasted when they first got it. Air it out for a week or two before you decide whether or not you like it.

Warning
Update: Ok so I know that I was one of the main praisers of this product, but not any more. I discovered that Georgia White Clay absorbs iron, it also can cause constipation. I suffer from anemia, which is low iron incase you don't know, and did eat this clay. I know that it can be difficult to live with pica and the cravings can be crazy, but there are better, safer and tastier clays out there. I have wrote a review on some others that I've tried, just don't lose hope. Talk to your healthcare provider it will be ok. I will not remove my previous post because you can eat whatever you want to and if you still want to eat it well that is between you and your gut. I will say that after I fully stopped eating this clay, I have been feeling great. I just want you to know, what you do with this knowledge is up to you. Have a wonderful day and this will be my final review on any clay. Do not eat this clay when you first get it. Fresh out of the package it's not good with a bad taste. Put it into a paper bag or just open the package and let it air out for a week. It will still stick to your teeth but after airing out for a bit it gets a nice earthy taste. Third time getting it and this time some of the pieces already had a nice earthy taste. I still aired it out for a week. This batch had a very mild and pleasant gritty taste. Will probably get it a fourth time. So got it again and this batch was perfect. It had a delicious earthy taste and a nice crunch that wasn't too hard. It didn't stick to my teeth too bad either. This clay has also been helping my digestion a lot. I will be getting this again. Update: have you tried baking this clay; put it in the oven on 350° and bake it for 10-20 minutes. I bake it for 10 minutes and let it cool off over night in a paper bag. This gives it a really good earth taste and a great crunch.

I almost threw it out
Dealing with pica while pregnant I've been craving like crazy. I gave this brand a try because I was down to my last peice from another company. The delivery was fast and I was so excited that I bit into it as soon as I opened the package. For me (big mistake!) I felt nauseous and it tasted dirty (pun intended). I look for a fresh taste (personal preference), basically like nothingness lol. I'm big on a nice crunch but not too dry. I want it to melt and be creamy (pause). I don't swallow after chewing (pause) I usually spit it out (pause) and savor the texture. It's a texture thing for me. I wash my mouth out when I'm done and keep it moving. I would definitely recommend providing instructions for different palates because I noticed that each person looks for different things out of this clay. I would recommend baking it if you like the earthy dirt flavor. Bake at 300° for 15 to 20 minutes. For a fresh taste briefly rinse each peice off with cold water and allow to dry on a peice of clean paper towel, cloth or in a flat container. But straight out the box almost cost me money and my happiness. I would highly recommend being patient because it took me a week to start liking it. I hope this helps someone. To the seller please provide some kind of instruction for different usages because the reviews are all over the place. And next time I will be going to the website and not here because I just learned I could've gotten twice the amount for the price that I paid here and that's the most disheartening part.
