Wrong Product Delivered but Corrected
Lower rating as initially received a laptop with different configuration. Prompt in replacing but major inconvenience as the product was a gift and had been sent directly to them.In terms of the laptop, using it for 15 days now, no major faults. Fan sound is a little louder than preferred.The laptop is made from recycled plastics. I had preferred a metal one but that was purely coz I overlooked the description.

Excellent home laptop
I've used Dell lap tops ever Adam was a boy and have never had any trouble from any of them. I got my wife this for her birthday - I know nice aren't I! She loves it; here's what she likes. 1. really clear screen. 2. comes included with MS365. 3. easy to carry. 4. fast response compared to her old one. 5. Windows 11 installed. 6. the Amazon price point was awesome.

Overall - good device for everyday computing
Easy to use. Dell pop ups prompting to “buy, redeem etc” are a bit annoying - bu could be switched off.Im a big guy with big hands but the keyboard is quiet comfy, fits well.Touchpad is quit responsiveScreen - for the price is more then okay.Good enough for daily routine, browsing, movies, light gaming (LIGHT GAMING!!)Boots fast, fans not too loud, unless you running some mad software/gameNo backlight for the keyboard - as describedBattery life is good while new 5-6h if doing basic things, browsing, light work.Will do for someone who’s interested in programming BASICS, learning etc.Overall 4.5/5 stars - just because well, nothing is perfect.

Perfect for me
I bought this to replace my old lap top that died after over ten years of constant use, it’s easy to set up and does everything my lap top did am very happy with it and it’s not as bulky as the laptop, fits in a drawer, good battery life too.

Straightforward mid-range laptop for everyday use
Replacing an ageing HP laptop that was good in its day but now very slow. I wanted a large screen but also reasonable portability and didn't need high-spec gaming capability. Very pleased with this purchase. Up and running in minutes. My Microsoft account transferred everything across I had before and then it was just a question of logging into a few additional apps. Sound and graphics both fine for my needs and the keyboard is, well, a keyboard with no gimmicks. Am still getting used to Windows 11 but it seems an improvement in terms of ease of use, but isn't hugely different from Windows 10. So long as it carries on working properly I'll consider myself to have made a good investment. Not flashy but exactly what I wanted.

fantastic performance vs power use from the 3500u cpu - super functional 'work' machine
The screen is only 1080p resolution, but the combination of the fantastic performance vs power use from the cpu, and the solid form factor have made this laptop a great 'work machine' choice. I've found that the AMD 3500U I picked really delivers great burst performance when I need to do some crunching but the battery does not suffer at all, the efficiency seems to be spot-on. The charge is replenished relatively quickly when plugged in too, and it's been ideal for a quick lunch-time recharge to get through the second half of the day. It was be ideal if the screen was perhaps QHD, but to be honest even at 1080p it's still a solid performer.
