I really wish they would bring this product back. I loved the way my middle finger could fit in the ring and how strong the magnet was. This was perfect for laying flat on my back and using my phone without having to grip the sides and getting fatigued. The extra thickness created by having this accessory on my phone case was also something to be desired, helping protect my phone when dropped and helping with Apple's insistence to create thinner and harder to grip phones. Unfortuately I dropped it one too many times while delivering and it flew into a storm drain. Wish I ordered a replacement before they sold out!

This was my first experience using a magnetic ring phone holder. Initially it took some getting used to, but only for a few days to a week at most. After 5 months of use the ring, that you out your finger through, was so loose that it became totally useless, to me anyways. A few changes would make this an excellent holder. That is a stronger magnet. Softer edges all around so it’s not digging into the sides of your finger(s), especially after extended use. And lastly, a ring that won’t come loose over time. Save yourself some money and buy a different one. Edit: Anker reached out to me immediate after my review was posted. They offered to replace or refund the purchase (which was bought in August 2022). I’ve updated it it to 4 stars. Customer service can be lacking sometimes but Anker stepped up and fixed the issue, which they didn’t have to do. 5 stars for customer satisfaction!

I bought this for my phone for a trip to Japan I was planning. I enjoyed it when I had it, but after a while I realized that it caused some discomfort on my fingers. But regardless, it did its job. It made it to Japan and was great for getting some still shots and reading on the train. Used it everywhere and would make it stand when watching videos, but the stand would sometimes falter. Nevertheless, it did its job. The magnet inside is very strong but did cause some scratching to my case due to me fidgeting or turning it while on the case. Despite everything, it still did its job. Until one day, it didn't. I assumed the bolt or screw holding it became loose to either ware and tare or was loose from the start. But the ring became wobbly. I tried to fix it but to no avail it ceased to do its job. It fell off and was left with just a magnetic ring. I love Anker. I have been a user since they started selling products in Walmart, and I still use Anker to this day. Please don't let this review deteriorate you from buying this product I was simply just reviewing the product from my aspect; it still did its job, and I hope yours does too! TLDR: It did its job.

Magnificent, but they only last a year of rough use. Given the rough handling they’re exposed to for that period of time, I think a year is pretty good for abuse. I’ve tried many brands, this is the one I return to. I’ve never dropped my phone when using this and I’m a menace to my phone. If phones were pets, they’d make a movie about me and an unspecified number of Dalmatians. This ring grip is TOUGH and pretty darn comfortable. It pops off sometimes when I drop my phone, but that’s not a defect, that’s physics. Massive grip strength for the weight, but only if you use a MagSafe case. I have NEVER had this pop off unintentionally. Would be improved by the addition of a tiny tab for lifting the ring from flattened position, but they’re not too bad.

Update to my update: it wasn’t the pop socket. It was the case. The magnetic strip was really weak. I haven’t had any more issues since switching cases. Update: I had to order a new one because the other one fell off. The one I ordered doesn’t work at all. My phone is constantly falling off. I bought this wanting to try it out and I love it. It’s the best pop socket and phone case I’ve ever had. There’s lots of cute options too, and I love it so much that I’ve been buying them for family and they all love them and now we are hooked on the MagSafe and the angler brand, especially You can’t go wrong with it super strong and it’s thin enough that you can still put your phone in a car and not have it fall out because it’s too thick from your case or your pop socket and also I bought my father a mount for the car and it is a charging mount it plugs right in like a regular charging cord, but it connects to the car mount and charges your phone while your phone is on it and its is amazing .

Update: Anker sent a replacement, but it wore out quicker than the 1st, after only 1 months the ring is super loose to where it swings freely. This is a hassle when you put it in your pocket because the ring will swing out and catch on your pocket causing it to pop off. I disassembled my old ring and found that while you can tighten where the ring attaches to the magnetic piece, the hinge pin is press fit and once it wears out it's done. So I will say I love this concept and it's much better than something like a pop socket so I'll give it 3 stars for now despite it's flaws since I'm hoping Anker support will come through. When it was new it worked mostly as expected. I have it on my S23 Ultra with a magsafe case, and it makes it so I'm not resting the phone on my pinky all day. It also initially worked awesome as a kickstand so it was easier to say watch an instructional DIY video while you had your hands full with said project. However it does have some major downsides: -Right out of the box I noticed the magnets aren't as strong as I hoped. Thankfully my phone has a very good case because this popped off a few times and it hit the ground. However I've gotten used to the weak magnet so I'm able to be more careful in supporting the phone. - They use a very soft plastic for this. While this helps for a soft touch finish, it is super easily scratched. For example, I had a small metal piece the size of a grain of sand stick to it after it fell off in a parking lot. Not noticing, I put it back on my phone and noticed it didn't rotate very easily and found the metal piece. Unfortunately it put a large gouge in the plastic. - The biggest issue for me however is it gets very loose after about 3 months. I really liked this initially because the ring doubled as a kickstand. Unfortunately with use it's gotten to where it swings freely on the pivot. And as far as I can tell there's no way to easily fix this; it looks like the screw holding the ring on is under a glued on ring of plastic. I'm going to reach out to support today to see what they say and hopefully they'll come through!

I initially bought this as a MagSafe alternative to an iRing a little over a year ago. I have a Spigen MagSafe compatible case I was using this with. Grip: The ring placement and the range it's able to rotate doesn't allow for the most ergonomic or stable grip. I found myself fighting with the placement of the ring often to the point where the whole thing sometimes came off (NOT what you want for a product like this). Sturdiness: The magnets are not that strong. They're strong enough most of the time, but I've had multiple situations where it came right off as I said earlier depending on how I was holding it. I used to use my classic iRing (on an older iphone with no magsafe) to free up one hand and hold my phone on just one finger if I was carrying a lot of things. You definitely CANNOT do that with this. If someone tried to snatch the phone out of your hand, they would definitely succeed. (I've had a friend whose phone was saved from a snatching because she was holding it with a classic iRing). Additionally, the ring itself became loose over several months, so I couldn't even use the kickstand feature properly. Ease of use: As others have stated in reviews, because the ring is flush against the phone inside the outer ring, and doesn't have a lip or anything get your finger under, it's quite hard to flip the inner ring out without taking the entire thing off first. Someone really didn't think through the design of this one. Appearance: I loved the way the Anker ring looked initially, but after some time, it faded to a murky greyish color that just made my phone situation look dirty. :/ I've switched off of it recently to use the iRing MagSafe alternative. Too soon to say, but so far it functions better and seems slightly stronger. I would not recommend the Anker ring due to poor design. I often wondered if it were more hassle to use it vs. not using a ring at all. I can say for certain though that nothing beats the stability and function of the classic iRing.

High quality product. Magnet is really powerful. It sticks in one snap. Overall satisfied with the quality. Ring for stand is also good. Overall this is worth money for the quality it gives.

A handy tool to have more grip on your IPhone Max. The materials that are used, are from good quality. The only thing I don't do, is turning the ring around to avoid scratches on my ESR Iphone cover.
