Delicious!! Not your average diet meal.
I was apprehensive when ordering these, as the price was a little high, but I was very impressed with the taste and quality of all the meals. I ordered the 6-count, and all were very tasty and seasoned well. Most low-calorie meals are very bland. These are excellent. I will be ordering more for sure.

Four out of Five isnt bad.
Four of Five in this kit are fine. One is ... well, wet cardboard. I was introduced to the HMR meal line some 7 or 8 years ago when hit 244 @ 5'10" and needed to "do something" . I followed the program - dropped 50 in 12 weeks flat. Amazing results. The program is 3-4 shakes per day and two of these. I did add the benefit bar along the way (very tasty). Since then I've yo-yo'd and HMR is my "go to" program. It works. Its tough, but it does work. Please realize what this is. HMR produces (at least my exp. w/ their products) for specific medically monitored weight loss programs. They work. These are small portion size meals, designed to be stable in room temp so you can carry them with you, and not have to struggle w/ keeping something chilled (eliminate excuses) The Chicken parm and Lasagna are a little bland, but not bad. The turkey chili has just a little pep to it. The beet stroganoff tastes just a wee bit artificial or packaged (it is) but again - for $4 and I can carry it in my backpack and warm it up - its just fine. Not so w/ the enchilada. Also - the oatmeal is really quite good.

Not too bad
The biggest issue I have with this product is the fact that it doesn't have salt added. No salt, no flavor. Add a bit of salt and its fine. It is way better than the other meal plan foods. It is not as good as lean cusine however. I will continue ordering and eating this product because it is convienient and inexpensive and not too terrible.

Fit for the Zombie Apocalypse? Not just No, but hell no!
So, I’ve tried the lasagna, chicken pasta and the chicken enchiladas. The lasagna, I managed three bites and I actually threw it away. It was that bad. I could have given it to my dog, but that would have simply been cruel. The lasagna was mushy and zero flavor. I added my own spices and guess what? I wasted perfectly good spices The chicken pasta, mushy and if that was chicken, I’m a giraffe. Moderately palatable, but I’d never eat it again. The enchiladas were weird. There was a strange green chili taste?? I’ve eaten MREs from the 90s that tasted better. Having said that, I don’t consider myself to be a picky eater. If you’ve tasted my mother’s cooking, you could attest to that. I survived 17 years with no malnutrition. I saw all the high reviews and I am convinced these were from the Red Cross and written by North Koreans. I’m scared to try the remaining two, beef stroganoff and turkey chili, as I am scarred by the last three. Rick Grimes would pass on these and go for the pine cone and cedar bark soup instead. Yuck AF

Great tasting and convenient
I’ve tried 6 different flavors and I would buy all of them again. I’ve been looking for non-refrigerated options that are somewhat healthy, low calorie and low fat and I’m so happy to have found these. They are also reasonably priced and much better than frozen dinners. Maybe not as good as the pricey meal delivery services but these are less than 5 bucks. Those are $12-15 range which is a substantial difference. I find these very satisfying and will reorder.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION
The ratings were so good on this food line that I was highly optimistic! The price point is certainly exceptional. Product was delivered timely and in good packing condition. #1) I opted for the chicken pasta first. The sauce wasn't bad at all. The pasta shells also were good;not mushy, not hard. This dish failed with the chicken. It was dark meat chicken alternating between fatty and grisly with a gamey flavor. I couldn't get the chicken down. #2) Being a pasta lover I had high hopes for the lasagna next. I couldn't even get 4 bites down. The flavor and texture just flipped my stomach. The noodles were mush. Please forgive me but the meat filling smell reminded me of canned dog food. There was hardly any sauce. Had there been more sauce it may have covered up the meat smell. Keep in mind, I eat Chef Boy R D canned ravioli. I'm not a food snob. #3) The chilli pictured on the box looked delicious so I hoped for the best on day 3. I'm not sure what was in that container but I would not feed that to my dog. I eat Hormel canned Chili so again...I'm not a food snob. That container of "chili" was vile...inedible. I checked the boxes again. The containers were still in date by several months. I can't figure out all the 5 stars reviews for this food. Sometimes you buy a packaged food that doesn't live up to expectations but you can save it by adding some additional ingredients from home. The Lasagna and Chili are not salvageable in my opinion. I have eaten other diet program foods such as Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig. These 3 HMR meals fall below those in both flavor and quality. The good news is that you dont lose much money. If you can find 1 meal out of the 5 that you actually like it is worth the dollar loss on the other 4. I would encourage the company to consider a more expensive line with higher quality ingredients and a greater investment in flavor. I think most people would spend a little more money to get something they actually enjoy eating. I'll update this when I get to the last 2 meals. My final thought is that I would rather spend a couple extra dollars per meal and buy something from my grocery store that I know I would enjoy eating until this company comes out with a higher quality food line.

Tasty!
These are fantastic! Taste is great. Easy prep= 1 minute in microwave. And it waits for you in the pantry. Great for at work meals. If Joe stills from the fridge, these are safe in your desk. Light wieght. Most important is the taste. And yes I will order these again and again. My new staple. Thank you HMR, you did great!
