Gently push the tabs inward and pull upward on the restrictor plate to remove it, taking care to not break any of the tabs. The plate is made up of two parts, an outer and an inner ring. The inner ring has two knobs spaced across from each other. Push against the inner ring while holding the outer ring fixed. Apply enough pressure to raise the knobs up and out of the slots they are in allowing you to use the knobs to rotate the ring clockwise until it latches into the adject slots. This will change the restrictor pattern from a square to a diamond shape. Again, apply pressure carefully as these are plastic pieces and could break if too much force is used. To replace the restrictor plate on the joystick, line up the holes on the restrictor plate to the joystick tabs and press the plate against the joystick.
