This machine does amazing work, once it is properly set up.
This machine arrives in mostly functional state, however go on youtube and you can learn learn how to set this machine up. There are a few moving parts on the machine that might need some observation to make sure they move freely. If any parts bind or rub they can be adjusted with washers at pivots to give rubbing parts some travel clearance. Use nylock nuts on some of these bolts, so they do not come apart as some bolts are there as pivots and not designed to be fully tightened. Many of the nut and bolt sizes are M6-1.0 Metric.Once you have the moving parts moving free and clear, then you should mount the machine on a wood pedestal riser and mount pedestal riser on a nice big flat piece of wood with rubber feet. Enough to clear the hand crank. Make sure machine is stable when cranking. Also lubricate all contact and pivot points with oil.The next thing to make sure is to know how to verify and possibly set the 'timing' if needed. This involves setting the rotating bobbin hook to swing right past the threaded needle, just as the needle goes to full depth and begins to go back up. Then learn to route the thread through the machine and set the thread tension. There are many youtube videos showing everything I have mentioned above. Once it is set up, it is an amazing machine! I have sewn through very thick material with zero issues. This machine is not 100% 'plug and play' but if you have the patience and some fabrication skills to set this machine up, you will have a machine that easily does what machines many times this price point can do. :-)

Hobbies incline people this is you machine it is cheap sturdy and easy to operate
Its a nice little machine once you get it to work properly and works ok but you need to work on her there are lots of sharp edges you have to round over and polish , it needs a better instructions manual with more details the tools and machine stand they Suply are of poor cuality i strongly recommend making a custom made one as you prefer other than that for the price of it it is what you need as a hobbyist nice and sturdy

It is a joke, right?
I dont even know where to start. This “machine” is a nightmare of perfectionist such as myself. I’ve seen ugly tools in my life. I was born in the USSR. I’ve seen vehicles welded from steel garbage containers. But THIS THING beats them all, no contest. It looks like it was assembled by a legally blind paraplegic on a dark night during earth quake and after that it was transported to final destination for 500 miles by pulling it behind a truck on a chain. And ONLY after that, dirty, oily and scratched, it was covered with CHROME! You bet it wont stick. And no - even if you are lucky to assemble it after watching youtube, and did not bleed to death by cutting yourself over sharp chips of chrome and oil paint that is peeling off, it is still NOT working all the time. I tried to sew a foam sole to a thin leather sleeper and broke 3 needles because they constantly hit metal plate on the bottom. The metal legs are a joke, the base plate is crooked, the thread holder is made from bent bolt, springs are attached by winding them over metal parts. The whole thing is filthy peace of sh covered with some used dirty engine or transmission oil. Do yourself a favor - dont buy it. Just dont.

Be patient when you put it together
I absolutely love it. You have control of the functions due to the manual sewing handle . I like making my own clothes and I like heavy jean material and my old arm uniforms. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. Thumbs 👍

On the fence…
The media could not be loaded. This product came in good packaging however, the base plate was square-ish and the feet are round. I cannot use the base plate. I have requested another one. I hope to use it when I get the base plate. Will update my review then.***Update: I was sent a new machine and was faced with the same problem. The base is square-ish and the legs are round. I really like this machine and want to keep it but Amazon cant send me JUST another base and feet. I am not versed in manipulating this metal. So bummed!

Works after some finishing.
The media could not be loaded. Machine will work, but be prepared to troubleshoot. Everything was filthy and covered in oil. Most metal surfaces were not deburred. The tripod that ships with it is unsafe to use. Metal chips in every possible place. I made a wood base for it to make it stable. That helped the most. The tripod went into the garbage. The handle to turn the crank had to be redone. I drilled the hole for the screw out to handle a larger screw and then countersunk it. Reversing the screw so the head is in the crank wheel instead of in the wood handle. Took a Dremel to the bobbin area. Every surface had edges sharp enough to scratch skin. After smoothing everything, bobbin feeds fine. The bobbin winder is a joke that I haven't figured out how to fix yet. Had to hold everything while trying to wind a bobbin. The bobbins have no hole to tie off the thread. So I used the micro drill bits from Dremel to put a small hole in the bobbin. This let me tie off the thread so I could wind it. Not a bad machine so far. I'll update this review after competing a project. Value for money:Much cheaper than a electric leather machine.

No...
The stand is horrible, the thing comes with no instructions,it's not finished or polished properly so the metal grinds when you turn it. It even locks up at times, even with a ton of oil on it. I will have to tear it down to finish the work on it that should have been done before offering it for sale.
