Haven’t had a chance to test the power output yet, but I bought all three bands. Thanks BTECH! Keeping the bands separate allows for frontend and backend filtering to be unique for each band, as an engineer I really appreciate this aspect. I will post again photo once I have the triplexer bandpass filtering attached to the backend of a stack of all three of these, this will allow UV 5 and the like with poor filtering to latch onto signals with higher gain from base station antennas (selectivity/rejection), and actually benefit from better antennas, with a much smaller amount of attenuation on the front to keep them from becoming overwhelmed lol. Note: all radios exhibit this to some degree and can benefit from additional filtering, even superhet frontend radios. **UPDATE all amplifiers tested fine for power, from 20/25w VHF (my radios have lower power there most do) to 70w on 444mhz UHF!. Anyone having issues and or blowing these is probably unlicensed because if you were you would know SWR being too high will do that to any gear, it’s pretty low for these (1.5 max in the manual) just test antennas and be careful the UT-72 Nagoya they recommend is 1.1 on UHF but 2.2 on VHF, so WILL damage the AMP V25. I will post again if I check these bad boys for spectral purity.

Way better than I expected. I am hitting repeaters on a ht that I normally can only hit on my mobile. I used it with a baofeng, yaesu, and radiotty.

I’ve purchased 3 of these bad boys. Paired it with a 12v and created 3 radio go-bags for my mom and a friend just in case power goes out. 2 yrs later and plenty of use, I have only one minor complaint, I would of used a bit of thicker wires. Other than that this thing works miracles. Imagine hitting over 25 watts with your handheld!? That’s actually insane! (Stay away as far as you can from the amp when your transmitting since that many watts it’s good for our mushy bodies) one thing I’d recommend doing is having spare blade fuses and glass fuses which this amp uses both.

My copy of this device puts out 48 watts with 13.8VDC input from a regulated power supply. With an HT and rooftop antenna, I can hit repeaters over 50 miles away and consistently get very clean signal reports. I've used it for many extended QSOs 20 to 30 minutes long with no problem at all. It gets a little warm but not enough to cause me any concern and it has never gone into alarm or shutdown due to overheating. I have very low SWR and I think that helps it run cool. Your mileage may vary but I'm very impressed with this little beast. Now if they came out with an auto-sensing dual band I'd snatch one up in a heartbeat. This thing spends most of its time mounted in the trunk of my car feeding a dual-band magnet mount. I made a 12 awg extension cord that runs up to the cigar lighter. If I want to use 2-meter I just unplug the power cord. Would be really cool if it could automatically bypass 2-meter signals but it doesn't so you need to remove power for 2-meter work. It's a momentary switch on the amp (not a rocker) but it does remember if it was on or off and resumes the last state when power is reapplied.
